Musically the band incorporates elements from black, doom and progressive metal, as well as psychedelic rock. Comparisons to Death, Opeth, Burzum and even Ozric Tentacles have been made. Lyrical themes: cosmic horror, human nature, death, pestilence, nihilism and occultism. The name 'Ingenium' stems from latin, and to us it bears the meaning of creation: man's creation and destruction from nature'

Time for a closer introduction of our new drummer Adrian Eriksen. Being a long time drummer for the progressive death metal band Ingenium, is what drew our attention to this drum tallent. Being a big fan of old school death metal obscurities, Adrian quickly found himself at home With Vomitizer, now ready to push the band to the next step. Our drummer Adrian has joined another filthy death metal band: Vomitizer. See them live at Legend Metalfest in september and Winter Nekropolis Lillehammer 2025 in december. There can never be enough death!

Big news from the Vomitizer-camp! We welcome new members to the team, and the full line-up for Vomitizer is now:

Statement from Øyvind “Scavenger” Rekdal:
"Vomitizer have recently released their critically acclaimed debut album “Release the Rats” through Undercover records. When I first started Vomitizer, the main focus was on making music and releasing an album. To achieve what he wanted musically, I contacted musicians I knew would be up for the task, reaching out to members from Corroder, Chton, Ghetto Ghouls and Goat the Head. The result can be heard on “Release the Rats” and speaks for itself.

When the time now has come to bring Vomitizer live, it has turned out hard to bring along members that are fully scheduled in other bands. The choice has been between continuing as a studio project or go full force as a band doing live shows and making new music. I've made a clear choise that it’s the latter that will be the case for Vomitizer. I've now brought along seasoned musicians that are ready to devote their time to Vomitizer, turning it into the hard-hitting stage performance it deserves to be. This has been an open process, and all parts have agreed with this decision So no feelings hurt and no friendships broken.

Vomitizer has already been scheduled for two festivals this year; Legend Metalfest and Winter Nekropolis Lillehammer, where we will share stage with bands like Lik, Gaahl’s Wyrd and Morax.

A new EP is also in the works, so expect a lot of raw, filthy death metal from Vomitizer in near future!
