MORTEMIA: “I'm proud and honoured to welcome Jessica Thierjung as my special guest for ‘The Cover Collab Sessions'. The song of choice this time is the timeless classic 'Send me an angel' by the Australian band Real Life. This is definitely one of those classic hits from the eighties that has stayed with me since the first time I heard it. I had this song in mind for a rendition since I started out on 'the cover collab sessions', and I am super thrilled to have teamed up with Jessica for this song. I discovered Jessica's band LYRIEL a few years ago, and instantly took notice of Jessica's beautiful voice. So I've had her in mind for a possible collab for some time now, and I am very glad that we could finally make it happen. Jessica did an awesome job on this song and she was able to convey those eighties vibes that I love so much, also adding her own personal touch".

JESSICA THIERJUNG: "I’ve been following Morten’s work with Sirenia and Mortemia for a long time, so being invited to be part of this collaboration was a real honor for me. Recording 'Send Me An Angel' was such a special experience, because it’s quite different from the kind of songs I usually sing, and that made it even more exciting. I really enjoyed bringing a new touch to this 80s classic together with Morten, and I’m very proud to be part of this release".

MORTEMIA: “I'm proud and honoured to welcome back my friend and collaborator Marcela Bovio as my special guest for ‘The Cover Collab Sessions'. The song of choice this time is the timeless classic 'Take on me' by my fellow Norwegians of the band a-Ha. I still remember very well when this song was released back in 1985 although I was just 7 years of age at the time, it was something very different that I had never heard before. The band also grew to be the biggest success ever to come out of Norway, and the band is just as huge today. I wanted to make a tribute to a-Ha for a long time, but I could not decide on which song, as there are so many great songs to choose from, but I eventually ended up making a rendition of their greatest hit 'Take on me'. After discovering how well the iconic synthriff transcended to the 7-string guitar my choice was basically made".

MARCELA BOVIO: "When Morten asked me to do another collaboration together I was immediately intrigued, as I loved how our first Mortemia collab 'Death Turns a Blind Eye' turned out! Then he told me he wanted to make a heavy version of 'Take On Me', and I got super excited. I love this song so much, I've even recorded my own acoustic version before so I know every note and nuance of it. But THIS version? Morten completely reimagined it in the most powerful way, and I absolutely love what he's done with it. The chorus was the biggest vocal challenge I've faced in a long time: honestly the widest vocal range I've ever had to cover in a single chorus! My voice was pushed to its absolute limits, and I am 100% here for it. I hope you love it as much as we do" !

We are very pleased to take our special '25th Anniversary' show to Stavanger, Norway on the 16th of October 2026. 🇳🇴

This will be the band’s only concert in Norway this year, and the only opportunity in the country to catch the band's unique setlist focusing on classic songs from our first four albums, revisiting the music that shaped our early years.

In addition, we will be performing two brand new songs live for
the very first time. Stavanger is the band founder Morten Veland's hometown and where it all began 25 years ago.

Our special guests for this exclusive evening will be Gothminister.
