🟢 Lars Urheim is a serial entrepreneur focused on sustainability and regenerative solutions, with a background in design from Bergen National Academy of Art. He has worked on projects ranging from sustainable materials and circular economy to developing planet-positive business models. Using design as a problem-solving tool, Lars aims to address systemic issues for nature and society, creating solutions that are both profitable and scalable. He advocates for life-centered design, prioritizing the entire ecosystem in every new solution.

A week ago, we at PermaBy hosted our “Sustainable Solutions for Urban Environments” event, and we finally got to share everything we’ve been working on in .community ‘s backyard over the past 6 months. It’s been a busy and exciting time! Our amazing partners presented the sustainability challenges they’re tackling and their innovative solutions.

We’re incredibly proud that PermaBy, with its holistic approach, has connected such passionate people and organizations. What began as an urban farming project has evolved into a living model for circular and regenerative urban living. It became a project that shows how we can rethink the way we use city spaces.

A huge thanks to everyone who joined, for your energy, great questions, and for bearing with us through those technical hiccups (who knew a laptop needs enough battery for the whole event? 😅).

Our ambition for the future is to host more events and discussions on sustainability, the circular economy, and urban development.
