That while life is experienced through the body and mind, who I am is larger than that.
Self-inquiry often begins with getting to know ourselves better.
And sometimes it opens the door to discovering that we are way more than what we thought.

Reading about swimming is not the same as being in the water.
Similarly, you can read everything about presence.
Listen to podcasts about mindfulness and meditation.
Study all the different philosophies.
And still not have the lived experience of what it feels like to be truly met.
To be listened to without judgment.
To feel something shift inside.
Zen Coaching is also something that needs to be experienced.
That's why we're organizing a weekend gathering in Helsinki with Zen Coaching founder Kåre Landfald. Not only to learn theory, but to experience something on a deeper level.

“The key to success in life is to relax.”
It’s a core principle of Zen Coaching: relaxing into our full potential.
Once Kåre opened a talk with it in a room full of students working on exams and deadlines.
However in that context, let’s just say… the response was not immediate agreement 😄
For them in that moment, relaxing sounded like the last thing they could afford.
And it's very understandable.
Because when we are stressed, relaxing can feel risky, as if everything might fall apart.
But the relaxation we talk about is something different.
It is not giving up or doing nothing.
Think of it as letting go of the constant gripping and stress.
And when something softens, something deeper can begin to function again.
Clarity.
Intelligence.
A more natural way of moving through things.
Sometimes the most effective move is not to push harder.
But to relax. Relax into being.

In that relaxation, different qualities can arise: joy, strength, insight, courage.
Sometimes the most powerful move in life is surprisingly simple.
To relax.
