Great news. The Game Engine Unity has graciously shared more insight into the technology powering Life Below across all their social media platforms.

Life Below runs entirely on Unity ECS/DOTS, using an advanced data-oriented architecture to power the game’s large-scale ecosystem simulations. If you are curious about how some of this technology works under the hood, this is a great opportunity to dive deeper.

Ever since we first pitched both the game and the technology to Unity, they have been nothing but supportive, helpful and genuinely enthusiastic. We are incredibly grateful for all the positivity and assistance along the way.

Hopefully, in return, we’ve delivered a game that not only stands on its own creatively, but also helps showcase just how far Unity technology can be pushed.

This feels very meaningful for us to finally announce!

We have partnered with Whale and Dolphin Conservation (WDC) for a very special Life Below supporter DLC pack, where 100% of all net revenue goes directly towards their conservation work.

The pack introduces three unique dolphins and porpoises into Life Below, letting players experience these incredible beings visiting and interacting with the reefs they have spent hours building and caring for.

As a studio making a game about restoring ocean life, this collaboration honestly feels very close to our hearts. Huge thanks to WDC and Kasedo for believing in this side-project. 💙

The pack will retail for 4,99 EUR, and is entirely voluntary. Should you wish to add it in, then know that you get something unique on your virtual reef, and not the least aiding out some very amazing beings in the real world.
