Meet Moureen, our Sales & Logistics Rep! 👋☕
Moureen joined Nordic Approach in 2024 and plays a key role in keeping things running smoothly from order to delivery. She works closely with customers, sales, logistics, and our wider team to coordinate orders, documentation, communication, and all the little details that keep coffee moving.
Before joining Nordic Approach, Moureen worked across administration, sales, and operations in international environments, bringing plenty of experience in customer-facing and coordination roles. She’s originally from Nairobi, Kenya, and has lived in Scandinavia for almost 10 years.
For Moureen, good coffee is also about trust and transparency, making sure information is clear and understood throughout the supply chain.

🎉🇮🇩 This year marks 10 years of working with Java Frinsa Estate!
This year’s first shipments are already on the water and are expected to arrive at our EU warehouse within September and October.
Alongside their classic washed coffees, Frinsa is behind some of the most distinctive processing methods on our offer list. From lactic fermentations and honeys to anaerobic fermentations using probiotic bacteria, these coffees are the result of years of testing and refinement. Some processing methods take up to three harvests before they're introduced to the market.
Over the past decade, we've worked together to develop a lineup of clean, expressive, and consistent Indonesian coffees that showcase just how diverse the country's flavour profiles can be.
We recently sat down with the Frinsa family, founders Wildan and Atieq, along with their daughter Widya and son Fikri, to talk about how Frinsa began, their approach to product development, and what it takes to maintain quality year after year.

🌸We have four lots on the offerlist: two washed and two naturals. Expect clean, complex and floral profiles across the lineup, with plenty of fruit in the naturals and lots of balance, structure and sweetness in the washed coffees.
All four lots are processed at the processing site we work with in Bulambuli District.

As an importer, we spend a lot of time thinking about value: where it’s created, where it’s lost, and how every part of the supply chain contributes to the final cup.
Moving coffee from producer to roaster involves a lot of working parts, from exporters and dry mills to logistics, quality control, risk management, and everything in between. A good importer helps bring these pieces together, creating a beneficial system for both producers and roasters.
So, where is value created, and what role does an importer actually play?
We get into it in our latest article.

We have three fresh Colombian decafs on the way (washed and naturals), plus one washed already in stock.
All our decafs are processed using the sugarcane method, also known as Ethyl Acetate (EA). At Nordic Approach, this is our preferred decaffeination method as we find it has the least impact on the coffee.
Our Colombian decafs come from Huila and are decaffeinated at Descafecol in Colombia. The result is sweet, fruit-forward coffees that bring plenty of character to the cup. Check them out on our offerlist!
