We are happy to present the news that the Vietnamese soprano Loan Dao To won the 1st Prize in the international vocal competition in Singapore. Ms Loan was for many years an active member of Transposition, with many performances in our program. Congratulations!

Stephane Gauger suddenly passed away this week. His relation to Transposition was that he, already in 2007 and 2008 documented the start-up of the Transposition program in a 60 minute documentary. It was a wonderful experience seeing that he was able to capture the spirit of the program already in its first phase.

The Legacy Of Award-Winning Vietnamese American Filmmaker Stephane Gauger This is very hard to write since Stephane Gauger was one of my closest friends. It is with great sadness that Stephane has passed away. He died yesterday in his current residence in Saigon from an apparent heart attack at the. He was 47.

4 internationally acclaimed artists and educators from UK, US and Germany come together in Ho Chi Minh City to play in a beautifully programmed recital, then give coaching in chamber music to a group of 31 young and eager musicians in an intensive schedule of rehearsals, rehearsals, rehearsals again, and workshops as well as masterclasses... A week in Saigon Chamber Music is an valued and beloved experience for the young musicians. And the concert they perform to the public is a memorable evening to many.

Earlier this week, Do Phuong Nhi performed at the concert of young talents at the Vietnam National Academy of Music in Hanoi. As part of the Transposition program, Nhi has been a visiting student at Barratt Due Music Institute in Oslo since 2011. Since 2014 she is a full-time student there. The concert was a big success, and shows the potential for the future of Vietnamese music. Transposition is proud to have been a partner in this important development. The HBSO has repeated the beautiful production of the Magic Flute from last year, in David Hermann's excellent staging. This time the whole opera was sung in German! We are so proud and happy that the work of Transposition lives on as a unique production of the HBSO, showing that ten years of collaboration has indeed produced lasting results.
