JOSEPH 👋 — “It was God who sent me here ahead of you to preserve your lives.” 🌾✨

As we have done the Bible study on Joseph, we’re reminded of his incredible response to the brothers who betrayed him. Instead of seeking revenge, Joseph chose grace.

He didn’t minimise his pain, but by seeing his story through God’s sovereignty, he stopped seeing himself as a victim and saw himself as an instrument of God’s work.

Trusting God shifts our hearts from bitterness to mercy, freeing us to trade our grudges for grace. 💛

BAPTISM SUNDAY 🏄‍♂️ — What an incredible day celebrating an act of obedience in Christ! 🙌

We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. — Romans 6:4

In memory of King Harald V (1937–2026)

We join the nation in deep sorrow following the passing of our beloved King Harald V. We give thanks to God for his decades of faithful service and leadership for Norway.

Throughout his reign, King Harald served Norway with dedication, humility, and compassion. He was a unifying figure who embodied his motto, “Alt for Norge” (All for Norway), bringing light, humour, and grace to his duties.

Our prayers and deepest condolences go out to his family and to all who mourn across our country in this time of grief.

God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. — Psalm 46:1

PRAY FOR NEPAL🇳🇵— On 26 August 2026, a massive glacier collapse and landslide along the Nepal-Tibet border triggered a catastrophic flash flood down the Trishuli river valleys. Entire villages, homes, roads, and key infrastructure have been swept away across the Rasuwa and Nuwakot districts.

Search and rescue operations are ongoing as hundreds of people remain missing, thousands are displaced, and emergency responders work around the clock under extreme weather conditions.

🙏 Pray for emergency service workers and local volunteer teams navigating destroyed roads and disrupted communications to reach isolated communities and rescue survivors.

🙏 Pray for God’s deep comfort for families who have lost loved ones, homes, and livelihoods in a matter of minutes.

🙏 Pray for clean water, temporary shelter, medical supplies, and food to quickly reach the thousands forced out of their homes, and for protection against further landslides or rising river levels.

BIBLE STUDY 📖 — We’ve started our Bible studies for the semester! We’re excited to dive deeper into God’s Word, grow together, and live it out in our everyday lives. 🙏❤️

SOMMERLEIR 🏕️ — Many from Crosspoint was at the youth camp in Vegårshei (2–6 August). The camp finished on such a strong note, and we are so thankful for all that God did! We are so grateful for all your prayers.

Over 270 people from nearly 30 churches across Norway came together. Centred around our theme, Helhjertet, main speaker Joakim Solbakken from Ålesund passionately shared God’s truth and love with the youth.

During our mission day, we were amazed to see over 97,000 NOK raised for mission work in Tanzania 🇹🇿 and Myanmar 🇲🇲. A massive thank you to all the dedicated volunteers and leaders who poured their hearts into serving. We closed the week with a powerful time of communion and celebrated three young people taking the step of baptism! 🥰

Hallelujah! 🙌
