Telia data show that the city center is wide awake, almost hitting the same levels as before with ~140k average daily visitors in October 2021 vs. 160k in 2019🥳 As for card transactions, Vipps/BankAxept shows that restaurant spending in Oslo City Centre is up 10x from lockdown in April.

Plaace had a busy summer and a lot of progress has been made. Much of this is due to the 3 outstanding BearingPoint interns Pernille Andresen Klevstuen, Christian Bakke Vennerød and Simen Allum, who have assisted us for a couple of weeks. They are developing a general recommendation algorithm for Plaace, and you can read more about this, what they think will be the biggest challenge for tenants and property owners in the future, and much more in our latest blog post.

We would also like to thank Christian Aalby Svalesen who has been the project manager from BearingPoint’s side. Day after day, he impresses us with his superb technical and social skills. Christian will continue working with Plaace in the coming months, and we could not have been happier!

Kick-off time! ⚽ Yesterday marked the beginning of our summer project together with leading consulting company BearingPoint. 👩‍💼

Happy to welcome three exceptional BearingPoint summer interns from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) for a six week project to develop automatic Retail expansion recommendations for the Plaace platform.

Pernille, Simen and Christian will be working together with ML and tech rock stars Christian and Stian from BearingPoint, and product masters Marthe and Peder from Plaace. They will also be supported by stellar advisors Carl from Spacemaker AI and Filippo Remonato from SINTEF Digital.
