The last day of our Bird ID training in Bulgaria has come. The group had a superb treat and was very lucky to see fantastic birds and amazing landscapes.

Day 8 of our bird id training course in Bulgaria resulted in 92 bird species seen for the day.

Semi-collared Flycatcher is the star bird of day 7 of our bird id training course in Bulgaria. We got a total of 65 species including Eagle Owl, Little Owl, Roller, Bee-eater, Lesser Grey Shrike and many other birds.

Day 6 birdwatching around Burgas Wetlands resulted in 100 species seen for the day.
We had fantastic views of Collared Pratincoles, Arctic Skua, Black-throated Diver, migration of 60 Honey Buzzards and Black Kites.
We heard again the Olive-tree Warbler and saw our first Middle spotted Woodpecker.

Day 5 birding around Burgas wetlands resulted in 95 species for the day.
Some of the highlights were Penduline Tit, hundreds of White and Dalmatian Pelicans, many Little Terns, Pygmy Cormorants, Lesser spotted Eagles, Red-footed Falcon, Hobbies and many more.

Day 4 of our Bird ID trip to Bulgaria was the raptors' day. We had a total of 11 species including 2 vultures, 4 eagles, 2 harriers and 3 falcons. Some of the highlights for the day are the Masked Shrike, many Olive-tree Warblers, great migration of White Storks and quite a few good birds making it a total of 93 species seen for the day.

The third day of our bird id training trip in Bulgaria was voted for one of the best for the moment. We had fantastic views of Barred Warbler, many Rollers, Black Storks, Chukar Partridge and the star bird has got to be the Black Vulture.

The second day of the training course on bird identification in Bulgaria passed with superb views of the Wallcreeper, Sombre Tit, Ring Ouzel (alpestris), Firecrest, Scops Owl and raptors. A good total of 70+ birds for the day.

Our Bird ID training course in Bulgaria for 2024 is on! 8 participants from Norway and Croatia joined the group this year.
Although a traveling day, the participants managed to see about 50 species including two Rollers, Black-headed Buntings, Turtle Dove, Ortolan Bunting, Black Stork, Long-legged Buzzard, a beautiful male Montagu's Harrier and many more.
