Volusense

Volusense Pediatrics was selected for this year’s Award for Design Excellence by the Norwegian Design Council. We were praised for developing a highly innovative product that elevates user needs as a guiding premise even when the users – small infants – are unable to express their needs. The various product components were designed in a confidence inspiring way and the procedures for use by hospital staff are intuitive. Functionality aspects were carefully reviewed to minimise user mistakes. Materials and designs were selected to maximise comfort for the child.

We are delighted to celebrate and share this award with our product development partners Designit and Hotswap.

VoluSense Pediatrics has also been spotted and nominated for this year’s international INDEX Design to Improvement Life award.

Janusfabrikken is a local textile factory now celebrating its 120th anniversary. This woollen underwear manufacturer keeps reinventing itself - now together with VoluSense as our partner to produce medical smart vests in dedicated clean room facilities. Monica Mæland, the Norwegian Minister of Trade and Industry, cheerfully baptised the factory's new knitting machine - "Don't tell me I can't knit!"

VoluSense Pediatrics

Since our recent pilot user launch, hundreds of VoluSense lung function measurements have been completed for a variety of clinical purposes. Today we produced vest nr 1000.

VoluSense Pediatrics is now in place at four hospital departments in Norway and the UK. We are getting great feedback and purchase enquiries are ticking in from around the world. Thanks for this year, we look forward to the next. With warm wishes for the festive season and all the best for the new year.

VoluSense vests are produced as comfortable wrap-arounds at sizes suitable for preterm and term neonatal patients. The vests are designed to allow rapid access to the baby as needed.
