Sometimes, missing home and my family screams so loudly inside that there’s no way to silence it. ❤️

But sometimes you can give yourself a little comfort and bring a piece of home to your table.

So I cooked one of my mum’s dishes: cozze in guazzetto (mussels in sauce) and trust me, nobody cooks like her!

And there was one wine I simply had to pair with them: Incrocio Bruni 54 from Vignamato, one of my favourite wines from Le Marche, made by a winery that also made us feel incredibly at home when we visited.

With the first bite and the first sip, it didn’t take much to travel back home for a moment — cleaning mussels in the kitchen with my mum. ❤️

Maybe this is one of the things I love most about food and wine: sometimes they don’t just bring flavours to the table.

They bring you home. 🍷🌊☀️

Last weekend, we hosted a fantastic — and thankfully very successful — Aperitivo Marchigiano! The stars of the afternoon were five wines from the Marche region, paired with five traditional bites from this beautiful part of Italy. Of course, the event would not have been the same without the wonderful company of our guests and our talented Italian chef, Jhonny, who delighted everyone with his culinary skills, creativity, and warm personality.

Four wineries, four different interpretations of Marche: diverse soils, traditions, visions and identities — all united by passion and a deep connection with the land.
