The S-Unit Caribbean will once again be part of the yearly ISACA-conference on 26 and 27 October 2023 at Central Bank Curaçao! We will be "Bringing the Future to you" with two talks. On Thursday the 26th we'll discuss the new security solution against hackers: Passwordless. On Friday the 27th we'll dive into AI and its threats and opportunities in Information Security. Recently, we’ve seen a large increase in WhatsApp attacks in the Caribbean region. Therefore, we would like to make you aware of these attacks and help you prevent WhatsApp account takeovers. In attached photo's we inform you about the attack and how to mitigate the risk and impact.

Cyber Security Event | Bescherm je bedrijf tegen de gevaren Cyber Security is momenteel een hot topic en het is van cruciaal belang om je organisatie te beschermen tegen de gevaren die er zijn.

The ISACA Curaçao Annual Conference will take place on September 22 and 23. A valuable and interesting event in which experts tell you all about cyber security, IT risks, the vulnerabilities of Internet of Things and the consequences of a data breach.

The S-Unit will also be presenting at this conference and will inform you about cyber security, why this is so important and what you can do to work as safely as possible.

Children start to use technology at an increasingly younger age. This offers opportunities, but also entails risks. Risks that children are often unaware of.

In primary school, we all learn how to swim or how to behave in traffic. All to improve our safety and protect us from potential dangers. But aren't the dangers online nowadays at least as great? We think so, and therefore we regularly go to primary schools to teach children about cybersecurity, what the dangers are online and how they should deal with them.

We offer children a safe future. For themselves, but also for organizations.

By minimizing human vulnerabilities, you can lower the likelihood of cyber-attacks. In many cases, this requires a behavioral change, or what we prefer to call it; a behavioral improvement.

The team of The S-Unit has been strengthened with three new specialists!

Raphaël Nijhof started as an ethical hacker at The S-Unit since the 1st of January. Not only has Raphael gained a lot of experience in the field of cybersecurity, he is also a specialist when it comes to ethical hacking of, for example, network infrastructures, web applications and mobile applications.

Patrick Huisman has joined The S-Unit team as a security consultant since the 1st of January. With his many years of experience as a security officer, Patrick knows better than anyone how to comply with information security within organizations. Patrick is a specialist in identifying risks in the field of security and privacy and in coordinating and implementing policy in this regard.

And our team in Curaçao has also been strengthened with our newest sales & account manager Miranda Minne. Miranda has lived and worked in Curaçao for years, speaks six languages – including Papiamento – and will join our team to arm organizations in Curaçao against cybercrime.

We wish Raphaël, Patrick and Miranda the best of luck!

A few months ago, Nick Bruinsma's enthusiasm for cybersecurity was rekindled by a friend of his. After obtaining his OSCP, the diversity and passion of The S-Unit convinced him to join our team.

Today is National 'Clean Up Your Desk' Day.

When performing mystery guest activities, we often find sensitive data that can be used in order to enter an organization. Data that makes companies vulnerable for cybercrime. And this despite the “Clean desk policy” that many organizations have in place.

With a 'Clean desk policy' employees only have the things on their desks that they need in order to work. In this way, they prevent that sensitive or confidential information is accidentally left on the desks. Information that everyone has access to.

Don't make it too easy for us and cybercriminals and clean up your desk!
