Du trainierst Beinarbeit, Distanz, Timing, Reaktion, Kraft und Kontrolle und lernst, wie dieselben Prinzipien das Waffentraining mit dem waffenlosen Kampf verbinden.
Das Ziel ist nicht, einfach nur mehr Techniken zu lernen.

Five Weeks in the Philippines 🇵🇭 – A Journey to Remember

After five intense and unforgettable weeks in the Philippines, Leonora and I are flying back to the Netherlands today. 🇵🇭✈️🇳🇱

These five weeks were a great combination of family, training, an amazing training camp, seminars, and of course some time for a short holiday.

But above all, this trip was about training, sharing knowledge, and giving our students something special.

Especially for our students from the Netherlands, Germany, and France, I organized several seminars with Grandmasters from the Philippines. Leonora and I also conducted most of the seminars ourselves during this trip. It was great to share our knowledge and experience with the students who travelled all the way to the Philippines to train with us.

We also had the opportunity to train with GM Jhun Carin and GM Alfredo Carin, GM Nny (Danilo) Jorquia of Lapunti Abanico, and GM Rodrigo “Drigo” Maranga and Rico Maranga of Combate Eskrima Maranga.

Different styles, different perspectives, and above all, a lot of knowledge and experience that we will take back home with us.

For me, it is important that we keep training, sharing knowledge, and developing ourselves. Respect the tradition, but always keep an open mind for new knowledge and new possibilities.

And now it’s time to return to the Netherlands, where new projects are already waiting: training at our own school, courses and instructor programs in the Netherlands and abroad, many seminars, Train the Trainer for IKMF Netherlands, and training for the Dutch Marine Corps.

I look back on these five weeks with great gratitude. Thank you to all the Grandmasters, students, friends, and family who made this trip so special. 🙏🇵🇭

Today we fly home. We leave the Philippines behind, but we take the knowledge, experience, and memories with us. Time to get back to work and give it everything we’ve got! 🇳🇱💪🔥
