Immune-Image
This project has received funding from the EU/EFPIA IMI2JU under grant agreement No 831514.
During the roundtable discussion, organised by ttopstart, stakeholders involved in the consortium talked about how we can improve or guarantee an optimal patient journey for those undergoing immune imaging. What are the next steps for ttopstart? Nadia of ttopstart will explain more below.
Our partner ttopstart organised a roundtable discussion during the Annual Meeting in October. Manou of ttopstart explains in the video below what the objective was of the discussion.
During the Annual Meeting, our partner ttopstart organised a roundtable discussion with experts from the Immune-Image project. In this short series, we talk with Manou and Nadia of ttopstart about their role within the project, the goal of the roundtable discussion and the next steps.
During the Annual Meeting, Fabian Schmidt of the University of Tubingen gave a presentation about a new total body PET scanner. This scanner can not only benefit oncology but also has advantages in other fields. Fabian explains the other advantages in the video below.

This Winter Holidays, we celebrate not only the joy of the season but also the collective dedication of the past year. Thank you for your unwavering commitment to deliver ground-breaking work. Every year, we are one step closer to our goal: developing a novel non-invasive imaging strategy for assessing immune cell activation and dynamics in oncology and inflammatory disease.
Happy Holidays and a Prosperous New Year! 🎁🌟

Positron Emission Tomography (PET), is a powerful imaging technique that allows researchers to study the activity of cells and tissues within the body. Within Immune-Image, PET imaging is used to study the activity of immune cells in the body. Specifically, researchers are using PET tracers that bind to specific molecules on the surface of immune cells, such as CD8 (cytotoxic T cells) or CD163 (immunosuppressive macrophages). Personalized medicine is an important approach to cancer treatment. It has been shown that tumors can have different genetic mutations and responses to treatment, even within the same type of cancer. Immune-Image is developing advanced imaging techniques to support personalized treatment, which will improve the cancer patient’s survival and quality of life. Read here how we do this: https://lnkd.in/erdtVhvS
