Welcome to Dutch for Expats, the Dutch language school for Expatriots and other internationals. Most teachers have broad experience as expatriates themselves.
All our teachers are native Dutch speakers and are all fully qualified language teachers. We know what it is to be new in a country, to get settled and to start to understand the things happening around you and to participate in the cultural life of your host country!

Intensive course

We will work with course book “Totaal” incl. CD-Rom plus extra teaching materials.

The teacher will bring the course books.
To follow the beginners courses (block 1/2/3) it is necessary to understand English.
What to expect?
BLOCK 1/2, “Totaal” chapters 1 - 8
• How to introduce yourself, spell your name and address etc.
• The Dutch alphabet, the numbers, currency amounts
• The days, the months, the seasons, telling time
• Verbs and word order, how to make sentences, how to pose questions
• Articles, plural forms, opposites
• Food and drinks, shopping, going to a restaurant
• Adjectives, start of the past tense verbs
• Pronunciation
• Quiz about the Netherlands and the Dutch
• Conversation
To follow the beginners courses (block 1/2/3) it is necessary to understand English.
If you are unsure of which course to join, then ask us for an intake interview.
You can contact us for an appointment.
In order to reach a basic knowledge of speaking and understanding the Dutch language, it is advisable to attend lessons on a regular basis covering a minimum of 3 blocks.
