Visiting finished projects. This corner villa in Amsterdam North Entreegebied is a design game with the very low cost requirements and the very ambitious interior wishes. The facade cladding is pure grey with no coating and this pattern is the trace made by the rain and wind. A brutalistic cube outside and a playful split levels active home inside. Baltimore+Rotterdam: Designing Cities - Baltimore Sister Cities A webinar series all about designing cities — spanning Baltimore and Rotterdam! Architects, urban designers, and researchers from Baltimore and Rotterdam meet in 4 round table discussions facilitated by international moderators. Coordinated by Cristina Murphy (MSU SA+P, Virginia Tech WAAC).

The design of plot 10-11 on Centrumeiland began with a proposal with brutalistic reference and an intentional twist on the bay window of the top floors: a missing corner. We still love these initial renders with concrete facade and a discord of harmony, although it was rejected. The next proposal was enthousiastically taken by clients, municipality and various commitees. After multiple difficult milestones, it is now built almost identical as designed. Very proud of the support of our clients, Wim Top and the municipality of Amsterdam. It has been a great process and we hope there will be great family homes!

The scaffolding is away, finally it starts taking shape
