This film was developed within the ‘Koolhoven Presenteert’ trajectory, initiated by Martin Koolhoven, a program that supported genre film makers with their first mid-length film. Directed by Didier Konings, and made in collaboration with VPRO, Nederlands Filmfonds and the NPO fund, this project sits at the heart of what we do at Make Way Film.

It’s a Wrap ✨🎬🥰 (actually that was 4weeks ago already…)

Super exciting news!!! We have managed to finalise the shooting of “The Malthus Law”, a short film by writer/director 🎞️

Twelve Angry Men meets Black Mirror. In a future battling resource scarcity, a government AI randomly drafts citizens to justify why they deserve to stay alive. When privileged TV presenter Olivia is drafted, she tries to rally the fellow draftees in the waiting room to uncover the AI’s hidden logic - but her prejudice soon sparks conflict that threatens everyone’s survival. 🫣

Lieve Harro,

Wat gaan we jouw fijne aanwezigheid en toewijding aan de Nederlandse film missen zeg…

Het was zo uitzonderlijk om geen contact met je te krijgen afgelopen week aangaande je geplande set-bezoek van vrijdag. Je was altijd aanwezig wanneer we je uitnodigden op een borrel of filmset-bezoek van een van de vele films van ons die je hebt gesteund. Film was jouw leven en daaraan spendeerde je zo’n beetje al je vrije tijd. Het was niks voor jou om niet op te komen dagen… Helaas kwam de waarheid heel erg rauw op ons dak. Je was helaas niet meer onder ons…

Laatst noemde je nog dat je al meer dan 500 films niet alleen financieel hebt gesteund maar ook van waardevolle input hebt voorzien. Er is niemand in Nederland die zoveel heeft betekend voor jonge filmmakers. Door jou zijn veel films wellicht net WEL van de grond gekomen, en dat is van zeer grote waarde.

Dankjewel Harro, voor alles wat je voor onze films en onze filmmakers hebt betekent, maar ook alle andere filmmakers in ons land. Je gaat voor altijd een mega grote plek hebben in onze filmharten. Veel liefs namens het Make Way Film team. Rust zacht. 🤍🕊️

We’re beyond thrilled to announce that our short film DO NO HARM, directed by and written by Eron Sheean & Paul Bromley, will have its World Premiere at .fest in Austin, Texas! 💥

With an incredible cast featuring & Sjaak Hartog () this project has been brought to life by an amazing team we’re deeply grateful for.

After a fantastic collaboration on the body horror film ‘FEMME’ and pilot ‘SKINDEEP’, we are happy to announce that we are cranking it up a notch 😏.

Cue ‘XX’ the debut film of body horror director , produced by . XX tells the story of Roxy, an up-and-coming screamqueen who suffers a freak accident on the set of a B-horror film, with very gruesome consequences…
