We were amazed by fantastic use of our material in this beautiful sculpture. The organic form that she created portrays the versatile ways the material can be put to use 🥭✨ The piece is currently on display at the in San Fransisco 🎨

We often receive the question where to purchase products from our material. We are excited to inform everyone that we will be starting a line of smaller accessories containing our mango sheets.

The first one in the collection are these replaceable A5 mango note book covers. Now available in our webshop.

Last month we had the great honor to be invited to speak at the international forum for sustainability in Taipei, Taiwan. The event was made possible by the Ministry of agriculture and the Taiwan institute of economic Research.🇹🇼

8 years and thousands of mangoes later…. 🥭

El "puré" que ven al inicio del video se convertirá en cuero vegano, y está hecho de miles de mangos que de otra forma se desperdiciarían. Estos “desperdicios” se pueden convertir en billeteras, carteras y zapatos gracias a la empresa Fruitleather que recoge aprox. 1500 mangos a la semana de un importador holandés, y este por un tema de control de calidad, debe cortar los mangos que no puede vender. Y esos desperdicios serán el futuro cuero, gratis y en buen estado. Primero la máquina deshuesa al mango y aplasta la fruta hasta que queda pura pulpa, la mezcla se bombea a través de un tubo hasta llegar a un contenedor. Se le coloca al mango varios aditivos que lo convertirá en un material muy parecido al cuero. Cuando la mezcla luce bien, se vierte encima de unas bandejas de metal para hornear y las alisan para crear un espesor uniforme. Luego las bandejas van a un deshidratador durante toda la noche. Finalmente las láminas secas van a un centro de acabado de cuero para recubrirlas en un esmalte protector. Se usa el mismo proceso que el cuero regular, pero con algunos ajustes, como por ejemplo su exposición al calor o el acabado en diferentes productos. Y luego viene el paso final que es básicamente el diseño, con una máquina de estampado le pueden dar una apariencia y sensación de piel de animal.
