Always wear appropriate footwear.
Sliders and socks seemed the mode to put our best foot forward into our new creation...

A huge thank you to:
- for letting us use your barn for a whole week
- for keeping us caffinated and helping us out with all of the shovels... Oh and of course for hosting our interactive performance art piece about collective suffering 'why oh why are we moving 13tons of soil by hand on the hottest day of the year?!'

It's really strange to think that this was a little more than a year ago!
There's always this parrot on my shoulder telling me that I didn't achieve so much this year. He compares my achievements to those of others around me, and often those singular facts can make me feel insignificant.
He tells me I'm not good at stuff, and often he's right... After all he's my parrot. However, often he's simply repeating facts out of context. The trick in these moments is knowing when to listen to the parrot, and when to ignore him.
I borrowed this metaphor and some of the phrasing from Jonathan Burrows. I've also borrowed a lot from his book 'a choreographer's handbook.'
Thanks to Abigael for helping me complete Codarts Circus Arts last year. Go check out the awesome project she made

Thami Fischer, or as I like to call him 'my new base,' is so much fun to work with. It blows my mind a bit that such a huge power base can move like he can. I guess that's the product of living a double life; an acrobatic family, and a professional dance career. Love this guy!
We have a separate project which you can follow along with:

This whole grey series is part of a new commercial project between the artists in these images. I'm very much looking forward to doing it again!

Stay hydrated!
I saw this picture on my phone and realised that it kinda fits with the crazy weather that hit us this last week. I found this guy trying to find somewhere to take a nap while I was training in Stockholm... Unfortunately the magnesium pot was probably not the best choice.
It was fun training with im glad neither of us got stung. So I guess, stay hydrated and check the magnesium pot before use!!
maybe this can be a starting point?
FINALLY!!! I've been struggling with connecting these shapes for a couple of months now... Feels so good to have manage this with camera pressure.
I try not to make preachy posts about following your dreams or anything like this; excuse me for one moment if you're allergic to those kind of posts...
This was really difficult for me to do this. I worked really hard on this for the past few months, just for this sequence. I've been training every day to do this form of balancing. I don't think there's anything special about this, I was just really consistent.
I'm not impressed by how quickly people get good at skills anymore, I'm impressed by how long people can stick at doing something that's difficult.

It's a pleasure to work with Jorga Lok. She's got so many years of valuable experience in so many areas of acrobatics. I'm super excited to be working with her both in this project and in our separate trio work with Thami Fischer.
Check out her other work
Costume design & styling (though it's fair to mention that Jorga did her own sewing)

It's a bit of a throwback picture, but also looking forward... I can't wait to get back at it with . Exciting times ahead as I join her and .sugar in their show Camouflage! Plenty of time to throw all of the crazy tricks and to develop even more crazy head to head tricks!!!
I might be a little bit excited.
So happy to have had the time to perform together last year, looking forward to working on something new together... Now I guess I need to find some green pants
Slowly, slowly... Starting to get some kind of feeling for how to transfer what I know from the floor onto my
(technically a Washington strapeze... Though I haven't found anything useful to do on the straps when the trapeze is clicked in yet🤔)
It feels exciting to explore this, but I'm really flying blind at the moment. I'd love to get some advice from someone who knows what they are doing on one of these 😅.
I built this trapeze myself, technically it's my first working prototype. It's actually been a really fun build so far, in particular this phase is very exciting since I get to 'feel' the problem areas. For example I found out that whilst I can use it without additional weights, if I add 10kg to each side it is much more comfortable to use! The current version is quite easy to transport, but the next version will weigh around 35kg... Not sure I want to carry that one anywhere! 🤣

Here's a great shot from from the event I directed for . It was a great experience to create a piece for this event! Working with this human makes me so happy 🖤

Just a little progress report on my recent work. It's more to kick my own ass to stick to my program than anything else. I'm happy with the direction it's going, just wishing it was a bit quicker 😅
Throughout my time in circus school I totally neglected this entire range of movement. It was so dumb of me to leave it for so long. I used to try to excuse it by highlighting that flexibility training could reduce maximal power output. I didn't like to admit that without being able to express this power in the appropriate range it was rendering this power quite useless! Although my increased range hardly makes for impressive pictures, it's really improved my capacity for clean technique in hand to hand acrobatics.
Do you want to see some examples of this in my main specialisation (h2h acrobatics)??

Hanging around at the calisthenics Park. Judging by the look on face im not doing this thing right... Anyone got any tips?
I built this Washington trapeze over the past couple of months, its starting to work quite nicely. Got a couple more kinks to figure out and then I think I can call it finished.
