My busy days as a part-time chauffeur and entrepreneur had me longing for doing something wild and unexpected, which is why I set out on an adventure to modify my classic Yamaha.

Follow me as I’ll soon launch the first episode of my ‘rookie mechanic fixes a motorcycle’ series on YouTube.

The series is my passion project to inspire those who think they can’t even fix a light bulb, to take matters into their own hands, grab the tools, and start fixing things.

The moral of the series is: just try it. Saying beforehand that you cannot do it, is simply putting down the battle axe before you even started to fight.

Very important disclaimer: modifying a motorcycle is at your own risk. Be mindful of what you modify, as for modifying some parts there are risks of harming yourself. During the series I’ll also stay away from risky parts, until I am fully aware of what I’m doing and comfortable enough with taking those risks.

By talking to newcomers and Dutch people on the streets, we aim to highlight cultural differences and challenges newcomers in the Netherlands face while integrating.

Because we believe integration has to be mutual. Meaning: not only you have to adapt, but also native people. That’s how we can find common ground.

Enough to make a grown man cry 🥲

I’ve been looking forward to halfway through this September, when I did not only visit me and my wife’s Russian friends’ wedding in the Krasnaya Polyana ski resort, but also one of the most beautiful race tracks in the world (at least to me 😁).

It was my dream to see a Formula 1 circuit from back stage, and now I did! I’m happy this mesmerizing track was the first, with hopefully many more to come!
