Jade Architecten

"Put your money where your mouth is". We develop this plot based on the principles and ambitions that form the basis for the architecture of JADE architects and the landscape and garden designs of Jessica Nielsen. With this building we show that it is possible to build very energy-efficient, passive, biobased, nature-inclusive and adaptable in the middle of the city.

JADE strengthens team with Sabine Kuttschreutter.

Sabine took a minor in architecture during her architecture studies at Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences and is specialized in building technology with a view to circularity and sustainability. Now she is calculating and drawing for the circular, energy-efficient and passive buildings that JADE designs.

After an intensive training and final exam, I obtained the certificate of 'Passive House Designer'. This enables us to create buildings that consume hardly any energy and are healthy and comfortable. Contrary to what the name suggests, the passive house standard can also be applied to office, care and school buildings in addition to residential buildings.

JADE is currently working on the transformation of the Heilig Hartkerk in Schiedam. This beautiful monument will continue to fulfill its social role in the Gorzen neighborhood as an inclusive healthcare centre

Interior design of an old school in Leiden transformed into housing.

The construction of the energy-efficient villa in Rhoon is almost complete. Privacy at the front of the villa, openness towards the garden at the back, the design supports the transition from public to private.

De gemeente Den Haag heeft JADE opdracht gegeven om een kerkenvisie te maken. De Haagse kerkenvisie van 2018 bestond uit 42 niet beschermde kerkgebouwen en wordt door ons compleet gemaakt met het onderzoek naar de 46 beschermde kerkgebouwen die de stad rijk is. Het doel is om per monumentaal kerkgebouw inzicht te krijgen in wat er speelt en ook hoe de kerkgebouwen zich tot elkaar verhouden. De kerkenvisie wordt ontwikkeld samen met de gemeente, kerkeigenaren en andere belanghebbenden.

Our Delftsevaart project in the center of Rotterdam has been completed! We are very happy with the end result and how our design for the appartments emphasizes the existing architecture of this post-war icon. Interior brand will open a store on the ground floor, a fitting addition to this characteristic building.

JADE has started the urban design for a sustainable neighbourhood in Krimpen aan den IJssel. The client is a so-called ‘CPO’ group (a collective private commissioning party) consisting of approximately 20 households.
The characteristic landscape of Krimpen aan den IJssel and the surrounding farmyards are the starting point of the plan. By examining these elements and translating them into the plot of the CPO group, a design has been created that fits seamlessly into the environment and meets the wishes of the CPO group and the municipality.

We like to use special color palettes in our designs.
For this interior project in Leiden we have combined matte shades of blue, green and peach. The colors form a balanced whole and enhance the spatial design. Thanks to the well-considered color palette, the interior of the future B&B will have even more character.
