People often ask where our designs come from 💡🧐 As a 2.5 years experienced jewelry designer, here I wanna share 3 inspiration sources.

1️⃣🌸 Nature
Many ideas start outside the studio. We often find inspiration while walking or simply paying attention to the small details around us. When something catches our eye, we sketch it before the feeling disappears.

Natural things are easily invoke people’s nice feelings so feel connected to you the designs.

2️⃣⚒️ Craftsmanship
Design is not only about drawing. It is also about how things are made. We spend a lot of time talking with casters, metal workers, and material experts. Learning what is possible often leads to new ideas.

Sometimes a new technique becomes the starting point of a new design. e.g. our spinning flower earrings

3️⃣✨ Design Evolution
If you run a brand, it’s important to develops its own design language as the time pass-by. Many of our new pieces come from ideas we explored our existing work further.

Oke, a piece of my daily works😅 as an independent jewelry designer, a female. Luckily, my disturbing cats were not there yet.

Though men sometimes don’t tell the difference 😡 I am still keen on calibrating the details of my designs/products🤌 as my customers(lovely girls) take care these too, and I believe a nice jewelry will be accompanied with you for long so even a small detail matters a lot.

BTS:messy reality of creating a one-of-a-kind earring. 🛠️✨ 🤫 I don’t want to only share pretty photos, but a whole picture of jewelry market/industry. This is a good story, a design was posted but still need much more time and money to be ready, just revealing more about my process:

✍️The Blueprint: For each jewelry design, after the hand-drawn sketches, it need to be moved to laptops for the 3D modeling. I use sometimes CAD software (learned from my school)

🔥The Casting: Once I’m happy with the 3D files, I send them to my casting partners in Shanghai and Canton. They review my work, check the technical details, and help me bring the raw metal bases. But, communication can be tricky. Things get lost, details get missed, etc etc etc

🧐Wear and Check: Even if we managed to reach the prototype, problems can happen again when we wore it around... it just wasn’t perfect. The weight felt a bit off, and the fit wasn’t exactly what I envisioned.

The way I am working takes time and “waste” money but my goal has always been to create unique, handcrafted pieces—something that you can’t just find anywhere else. When you choose my jewelry, you’re choosing that extra obsession over details.
