Liberated, geestekind van de internationaal operende DJ Remon Lacroix starte in 1999. Uit onvrede in het aanbod en kwaliteit van gayparty’s in Nederland besloot hij het heft in eigen hand te nemen. In de superclub Now&Wow (gehuisvest in een enorm pakhuis in de haven van Rotterdam) starte hij Liberated een twee maandelijks gayfeest met pakkende thema’s, hylarische acts en pompende kwaliteits house
