Ben jij ook nieuwsgierig wat er bij onze buren gebeurt? @studio_zookeeper naast CBK Rensenpark wordt telkens weer ‘bewoond’ door een andere kunstenaar. Op dit moment door kunstenaarsduo @Berkveldt (Noëlle Ingeveldt en Juriaan van Berkel). Sinds april doen zij onderzoek naar lichtvervuiling en het effect daarvan op mens en natuur. Ze zijn aan het werk in de studio, maar gaan ook naar buiten en doen daar ‘veldwerk’. Bijvoorbeeld door ‘s nachts geluidsopnames te maken van lichtbronnen zoals lantaarnpalen. Meer weten? Noëlle Ingeveldt (Master in Arts) en Juriaan van Berkel (Master in Arts), van Kunst duo Berkveldt, zijn de nieuwe Zookeepers van april t/m juni 2024.

MENS-NATUUR RELATIE
Noëlle & Juriaan onderzoeken de complexe mens-natuur relatie door wetenschap en kunst te combineren. ’s Nachts worden vele gebieden kunstmatig verlicht, waardoor de nachtelijke hemel minder zichtbaar wordt. Tijdens hun periode in Emmen zullen zij onderzoek doen naar de toenemende lichtvervuiling. Dit heeft niet alleen invloed op ons bioritme, maar veroorzaakt ook problemen voor de natuur, zoals vogels die ‘s nachts gedesoriënteerd raken.

GA MEE OP EXCURSIE
Het doel van Noëlle & Juriaan is om alle grote licht locaties van Emmen in kaart te brengen en deze op diverse manieren vast te leggen door gebruik te maken van fotografie, film, en audio-opnames. Je kunt deelnemen hun excursies voor het opnemen van de geluiden. Overdag kun je binnenlopen om mee te denken over het onderzoek en de licht locaties. Dus kom vooral langs!

Necrosonic Landscapes is an artistic research project exploring the transitional realm between life and death. It showcases the life that emerges from death, highlighting the importance of death in nature. For this audiovisual installation, we documented the decay of a deceased roebuck, recording both the sounds of the decomposition as making the metamorphosis in the soil visible by periodically sampling and filming the earth beneath the roebuck.
