Autobahn is a Dutch creative studio based in Amsterdam and Rotterdam with speciality in graphic design, branding, typography and strategic visual content.
Dutch (typo)graphic design studio Autobahn (NL, 2006) is named after the fictitious band in the movie ‘The Big Lebowski’. During art academy Maarten Dullemeijer (1982) and Rob Stolte (1981) started a band with several others, but soon decided that they’d better stick to designing. Although we are working with on their REIS magazine for almost four years now, the past year we’ve been busy creating a new visual identity for this Amsterdam based consultancy agency. At the printers today. The upcoming issue of REIS magazine is printed by on 120 gr. Genious Black with opaque white and 807 (silver). After extensive proofing and lithography by we’ve found the best ink posession and image details.

Today we are at de in Amsterdam, celebrating the soft opening of Spectres from Beyond. The exhibition is part of 2021.
Featured artists are Müge Yilmaz (NL/TR), Natasha Tontey (IN), Bie Michels (BE/CD), Mehraneh Atashi (NL/US/IR) and Jason Wee (SG).
You will be transported to different worlds and experience things from a variety of perspectives.You’ll witness ancestral rituals in which stones play the leading role and the first human was a woman instead of a man; you’ll step into a dystopian city that destroys itself in the name of progress and meet the Umay, the first black astronaut, amidst her books and memorabilia. You’ll be part of a performance in an installation with bricks, where the heavy materiality of the bricks introduced to Madagascar by a missionary in the nineteenth century turns back into dust. Through interventions, they become portable and almost weightless. And finally, you’ll have a chance to examine your own memories in the light of a new spectrum, in an installation that explores the relation between personal time and that of the world.
