What a blast of joy is this Pieternelle by J. Röntgen! 🌷
This dance, coming from the Flemish folk tradition, is made full of joy. The dancers stamp their feet, clap their hands, and cheer out loud! Luckily, we had our clapping in the back for us 😊
We can't do anything but recommend you to listen to our recording (available on Spotify), where we have a little surprise in how we call up this collective excitement ❤️🌻🎻
All the music present in our album Scenes of a Folk Life is by classical music composers that immersed themselves in folk music 🍂
It is the case of J. Röntgen, that wrote this Cramignon, which is a typical dance from Limburg🌻🌷🚲
As you can see in the video, this dance is all about sharing a moment in community, and we love that! ❤️🌻🎻
☀️The sun has arrived to The Netherlands☀️
What a great occasion to give you a little insight of our first album release concert in Schiedam with
This is a fragment of the middle section of the last movement of Amanda Maier's "Swedish Tunes and Dances ". For this music, she chose to paraphrase the Swedish song "Vårvindar Friska" ("Fresh breezes of spring") 💐
Enjoy! 🌻❤️🎻
After all our album releasing concerts, we found that it was a good moment to look back and reflect on how the whole process looked like until now! 🍂
Meetings sharing ideas, shaping the program, arranging music, rehearsing, recording, designing and creating the artwork, concerts, program notes, radio interviews... what a ride! 🍀
This is what Scenes of a Folk Life has been until now. And we can't wait to see what's coming! 🌻❤️🎻
You can listen to our album on spotify. Or order the beautiful book with the CD, and the prints, in our website, link in the comments!
