This year we attended for the first time and we were blown away by the curiosity, collaboration and innovation.

“Wait… you can 3D‑print reef structures?” One of the questions we heard the most
And yes, we absolutely can.

Three days of conversations, curious minds, unexpected encounters and a flood of ideas at ChangeNOW left us feeling genuinely hopeful for the future.

Some highlights we’re taking home:

🤲 Meeting NGOs, researchers and start‑ups who are building real, scalable restoration tools and technology
🧩 Huge interest in modular, customizable reef structures and coral‑growth solutions
🔬 New possibilities for collaboration in monitoring, research, materials and co‑designing habitats

It was refreshing to see how naturally people connect with the idea that innovation can be gentle, adaptive and built with nature instead of against it 🌿

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, asked questions, shared insights and imagined new possibilities with us.

Op 15 november publiceerde een artikel over de hoge kosten die gepaard gaan met de stijgende . Dit bevestigt wat wij bij Coastruction al langer zien: de dringende behoefte aan duurzame oplossingen om onze te beschermen. 🌊

Bij Coastruction gaan we nog een stap verder. We werken niet alleen aan kustbescherming, maar ook aan het herstel en de versterking van de biodiversiteit onder water. Een gezonde is essentieel – niet alleen voor onze natuur, maar ook voor ons eigen voortbestaan. Zonder gezonde verliezen we een groot deel van onze voedselbronnen en natuurlijke bescherming. 🪸

De Volkskrant en Tjerk Gualthérie van Weezel, bedankt voor het goede artikel waarin onze 3D-geprinte riffen te zien zijn! We begrijpen dat onze naam even ontschoten kan zijn, maar we heten Coastruction – een innovatieve Nederlandse . 🌱 Geen zorgen, met alles wat er aankomt in #2025 en daarna, komen er vast nog veel meer artikelen die onze projecten belichten! 🙌

🥂🍾 Our journey with the Reefs 'R Us project has reached its final stage, with the installation of three new reef structures in the Persoonshaven, . 💚🤍

💡Created by local students and scaled up using our 3D printing technology, these structures are not only about restoring but also about raising and bringing the people of Rotterdam closer to aquatic conservation. 🌊
