Another step forward on the BMW K100 Scrambler rebuild. Today the Acewell speedo was connected through the BEP 3.0 allowing me to keep the OEM electronics while removing the bulky factory ‘breadbox’ gauges.

Also fixed the tank pads and completed the final gastank and seat mounting. What’s left? Headlight, indicators, taillight, horn, and license plate holder and some oil changes. Getting closer! 👊😎

🛠️ 📷 Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride 2026. FFS.

Today in Rotterdam we rode in style 😎
Cold winds, a bit of rain, but also sunlight breaking through the clouds. And none of that stopped the spirit of the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride.

Great atmosphere, strong organization, well dressed riders, beautiful motorcycles, and Rotterdam once again showing the biggest turnout in the Netherlands (273 riders).
I joined this edition on my Honda CB750 Cafe Racer and honestly… it was just one of those good days - Good people. Good machines. Good cause.

Update on RONS3, the BMW K100 Scrambler rebuild, today finally connected all the OEM wiring again - still a lot to do, connecting the BEP 3.0 for new headlight, speedometer and indicators. Slowly getting there, it’s also ‘bracket’ time for the contact and rear light. Not to forget it needs an exhaust and some oil change to finish this shed built motorcycle. Somehow it always seems easy, however it’s never flawless, bolts are stuck, parts don’t exactly fit, the bike is from the 80-ies and sometimes something just breaks 😜😎 ...

It’s time for the first round of assembly! Hidden work is you need to clean every part, like the bolts are rusty so they need to be polished. I love WD-40 btw. The wiring is going to be a challenge, although I marked all connections still it is a long time ago I disassembled the motorcycle; mounted top frame, rear shock absorber, front suspension and put a new steering bar on top. Next will be mounting the gas handle, clutch and levers plus putting all wires in place. To be continued 😎 ...
