At the beginning of this month, Gnarls Barkley, the project of CeeLo Green and Danger Mouse known for their 2006-smash-hit Crazy, released a new record. This record includes the song Perfect Time which uses an element of a song by Earth & Fire. Another creative example that introduces music to a new audience. Do you recognise the Earth & Fire song?

We are proud to announce the eight installment in the series of remastered & expanded albums by Golden Earring. Golden Earring is the sixth, self-titled album that is also known as 'Wall Of Dolls' because of the cover photo. The record, released in September 1970, marks the debut of drummer Cesar Zuiderwijk with Golden Earring and is the first in a series of progressively oriented records that the group released in the 1970s.

This expanded edition, supervised by Red Bullet catalog and band archivist Wouter Bessels, contains three bonus tracks: the single Holy Holy Life ( #5 in the Dutch Top 40 in February 1971) with B-side Jessica, as well as the single version of Back Home as released in the United States on Dwarf Records in October 1970.

All tracks have been remastered in 24 bit/192 kHz from the original master tapes. The 16-page booklet contains a story about the creation of the album, written by Golden Earring biographer and archivist Jeroen Ras.

Golden Earring (Remastered & Expanded) will be released by Red Bullet Productions on 10th of April 2026 and is available through all renowned music stores and online shops, plus all known digital channels. The vinyl version released by Music On Vinyl will follow in late 2026.

Together with pianist Jasper van ’t Hof and vocalist Julya Lo’ko, Golden Earring-drummer Cesar Zuiderwijk started his project Labyrinth. On the eponymous debut album, George Kooymans can be heard playing guitar on Help Me Out, which was co-written by Barry Hay.

This week George Kooymans would've turned 78. He is of course most known for his work with Golden Earring, but George Kooymans has worked on lots of other projects that deserve more attention. In honour of his musicianship, we will be posting about lesser-known works of this Dutch rock legend.

Together with Barry Hay, George Kooymans produced the single Into The Line Of Fire by Boom Boom Mancini. With You’re So Electric as its B-side, the 1985-single from the band of The Hague didn’t chart but is a perfect example of great 80’s music.
