We went to the forest for a few days to try out our ‘concert in nature’! Yes, we’ll be playing and singing surrounded by trees and hopefully soon by you as well ❤️🫶 Here’s me and before this forest trip practicing ‘not yours, mine’ together. A song about giving up too much for another when they’re not necessarily asking for it. Whose fault is that? Not yours, mine.

I wrote this simple acoustic “butterfly” song on a day where I’d already been fighting against writer’s block for weeks, maybe months. This particular day (after a slight mental breakdown 😇) I decided to accept the fact that I’d probably never write another song again. And then within an hour, this entire song rolled out of me! It’s been a reminder for me ever since that it’s okay to give up sometimes, because it’s often the resistance itself that stops the energy from flowing. So to give up so you can keep going, if that makes sense?! That’s the story behing this fragile song written at quite fragile time 🦋 will be playing this live soon in a forest somewhere. Will keep you posted.

People call this song ‘the salmon song’ 😭 when it’s actually called ‘waterfall’. We’ve played it live many times but have yet to release it! Wanting to go straight for your dreams, but being pulled in all directions by unrequested side quests… that about sums it up. Looking forward to sharing the full version with you late June ☀️ thanks for always helping me keep focused on the main quest 💜 !

Ps. Should I rename it to ‘the salmon song’? There’s still time…

Wait did this really happen? What a great reminder to try something out of your comfort zone! i actually won 1st place in the video game music contest 🤩 (check out my earlier posts for more context)

I entered the competition to find out if I would enjoy scoring for a game and I really loved doing it. To have it be chosen by seasoned pros in the tv/film/game composer field is super encouraging.

Excited about what the future might bring, thanks to for developing this beautiful game (Seasons of Solitude) and to for creating this unique oppotunity.
