Studio Transue

100’s of new updates to the Gemeente Haarlem maquette are to be made this month, but before I start with all these exciting new developments for Haarlem, it is time to place the huge Christmas Tree at the Grote Markt.

This tradition that I do every year is always an inspiring moment knowing that my maquette is getting more and more filled with the new projects being designed and made each year.

This maquette can be viewed with an appointment at Gemeente Haarlem Gedempte Oude Gracht 2.

When mixing my colors for the maquettes I make, Artist Impressions are important information element and when it is made as well as the artist impressions, my clients are always happy with the end results.
This 1:500 scale maquette of a design by UN Studio for the Master maquette for Zuidas at the Information Center Located at the World Trade Center in Amsterdam is a perfect example of this combined reference being used during this construction process of my architectural maquettes.

Yesterday I placed the finished maquette at the Zuidas Information Center for public viewing.

Studio Transue is proud to present an update to an 1:64 maquette that was made two years for Kroonenberg Groep for their project in Dordrecht. The Lindershuis ( Lindershof).
This update is for the seven buildings along the Lange Breestraat for Aannemersbedrijf
A. van Alphen B.V. The owner of these seven buildings wanted them to be made in as much detail as possible for this scale.
All interiors ( walls, doors, stairs) were made with both facades to match the quality that was made on the rest of the maquette.

Studio Transue is back working on the Gemeente Haarlem maquette scale 1:1500. Today I will be placing more trees to the plan…. 1000’s of hand made trees. Of course I have to put the traditional Christmas tree which goes on the Grote Markt every year here.

Studio Transue is proud to present an 1:500 detailed maquette of a development in the Center of Oss for BPD for their project located in Fraterspark for an additional 170 housing for all variety of groups.
The blocks in the maquette are a preliminary design to show what BPD has in plan. After further development, these blocks will be made in higher detail.

A quick study for a new project that is being made for Arcam and Gemeente Amsterdam. This is going to be a beautiful maquette.

As the maquettebouwer for Zuidas and ZuidasDok, the most asked question I get is, “ Isn’t Zuidas all built by now?”…. Well my answer is always the same…” of course not”.

Here is the proof. This Summer I made new VO ( Voorloopig Ontwerpen) blocks, repaired existing and painted a new color scheme using warm colors of the existing colors of the DO ( Definitef Ontwerpen).

Here you can see how many more buildings have to be designed.

The Information Center is open and now that we are all back from our Summer vacation, the newest update to Zuidas can be seen.

As a foreign architect living and having my own business specialized in making architectural models in this wonderful country, I have inspiring moments often when delivering a finished project for my clients.
Today I was asked by Gemeente Amsterdam to help with the transport of the Sloterdijk 2040 maquette to be brought to Arcam for their exhibition until September 10. While cleaning the vitrine for its presentation I noticed the background. With the Scheepvaartmuseum and the replica of the VOC merchant ship in the background…. you can not get anymore Dutch. Phase two of the Haarlem Maquette scale 1:1500 is going smoothly. I have added roughly another 2480 more buildings mainly consisted of the old Center and landmarks. This week the last of the buildings will be placed and then I continue with the 1000’s of trees that will complete phase two.

This week I am working on the Zuidas 1:500 maquette to make a new huge change in its areas of development. Kenniskwartier, Ravel gebied, Kop Zuidas, Vivaldi, Parnis and by Fred Roeskestraat will get new VO ( Voorlopig Ontwerp) Block Studies. These will be remade in the new volumetric forms and painted in a new series of three colors that I made to help unify its presentation within the entire maquette. I gave this beauty of a maquette a well needed cleaning ( always easier to do when there are so many buildings off the maquette).

What a day yesterday presenting the Haarlem maquette…. Worth all the hours put into it.
