Yesterday was a great King's Day in Holland, especially for us, lovers of Brazilian Music. We made a party in Delft, and even feeling a bit tired, people enjoyed, danced, asked for our cards, and most important: we had fun 🤩 Thanks for having us 🙏

I have no words to describe how fun was this weekend. Perhaps this reel can say something, but it's only few minutes of HOURS of pure joy. I did what I do best, which is playing and teaching. And to my surprise the students played and sang my tune Sempre Bom (my choro hit, hahaha, because the last verse stays in your head, hehehe). Many thanks to 😁🙏, you guys are amazing, and congratulations for the wonderful choro scene you have build!
A alma ficou em Munique, só o corpo voltou pra Sapolanda. A expressão é "quero mais", rs, foi um fim de semana tão bom, mas tão bom, que decidi fazer um reel com material que o povo me mandou (eu filmei muito pouco, tava mergulhada na linda cena musical que Munique tem). Ficaram muitas horas lindas de fora, mas dá pra ter ideia que a gente se divertiu! 🤩 Muito obrigada pelo convite, já participei de muitos festivais mas esse chegou pertíssimo da perfeição ;) e bora cantar "na roda de choro é sempre bom" 🎶🎼 parabéns tb

Wij zijn terug naar Rotterdam, maar tja, Duitsland is ook heel mooi. Ik had een geweldig weekend, samen met mijn goede vriendin 🌹Wij hebben samen gespeeld en ook workshops gegeven, en wij hebben enorm genoten. Choro is een muziek heel speciaal, en ik verbaasd om te zien hoe duitse mensen zijn verliefd op braziliaanse muziek. Mensen daar waren super lief en gul. En ik heb ook veel CD's verkocht, jeeeeej! Ik kan niet klachen, hoor. Fijne week, iederen! 😉

Het is koud buiten dus de oplossing is binnen blijven en instrumenten oefenen. Als wij kunnen samen oefenen, veel beter, toch? Ik ben echt trots op mijn vriend, hij kan nu beetje zabumba spelen 🥰 fijne weekend, iederen!

And today is the birthday of a very special person, Florzinha mór da minha vida, a person that is not only one of my best friends. But a person that is in my life for more than a decade, someone that lived with me for 4 years, at the beloved Casa das Flores, someone that is an amazing musician, and therefore we have some projects together, and we played a lot (like A LOT, in many kinds of situations, including a Baile do Almeidinha with ). I wish you, Floor, all the hapiness, health, wealth, music and peace in the whole world. You are a fantastic friend, person, musician, and I am honored to have you in my life. Since I came to Holland I always wish for a dutch friend, because at the beginning it was so hard to meet dutch people. And then I met you and very slowly we became friends, then we started to play together, get to know each other very well, and voilà: amigas do tipo unha e carne ❤️
Um carrosselzinho de algumas fotos (e pouquíssimas, comparado com o tanto que vivemos juntas) dessa jornada que foi, é e sempre será nossa amizade. Aliás, amizade que ten direito até uma música chamada "Amizade" que você fez pra mim, e uma música chamada "Eterna Flor", que eu fiz pra você (corre no streamming pra ouvir!). Parabéns, amiga, que esse ciclo seja incrivel, com muitos shows juntas (aliás, Munique é nóis em duas semanas 🥳), com muita alegria, saúde, esportes, arte em toda parte, viagens e amor. Nossa história tá só começando, e tenho certeza que vamos trilhar muitos caminhos juntas. Obrigada por existir em minha vida, por me ajudar, apoiar, me ajudar a ver o mundo de outra forma... Que vc tenha um lindo aniver, amo você! 😘
Hope everybody is having a nice holiday. Over here I'm recovering from a small surgery (nothing serious) in the company of my family. And, of course, playing a lot because my parents have at the moment at home 5 pianos 😱 I also decided to record a new album, solo one, with classical music mixed with my crazy own ideas (like my personal series "meeting someone in a bar"; this one is Fauré meeting Yann Tiersen, probably in a cafe in France). Ik wens iedereen een gelukkig nieuwjaar. Mijn jaar begint met de opname van een album waarop ik klassieke muziek mix met andere stijlen en eigen ideeën (dit is zo Elizabeth Fadel, hahaha!). En ik ben blij te kunnen zeggen dat de opnames plaatsvinden in de studio van mijn broer. Ik kan niet gelukkiger zijn 🤩 Ik ga ook opnemen een compositie van mijn andere broer (ik heb 3 broers en 1 zus). Hier alvast een klein franse voorproefje van wat er komen gaat 😉 geniet ervan!
Antes que o ano acabe, bora anunciar que vem coisa nova e muito boa por aí. Tô feliz de fechar o ano me reconectando com a música (confesso que, como qquer relação, ela acabou entrando um pouco em crise por aqui, rs, mas estamos fazendo as pazes, hahaha). Em janeiro estarei gravando o que manda o meu coração: música clássica (que amo muito) misturada, juntada, improvisada e brincada com otras cositas más ;) vai aqui uma palhinha de um dos arranjos, dessa vez mais na vibe francesa, hehehe. Feliz ano-novo, galera 🌹🙏

Als ik ga naar Brazilië, ik voel mijn leven in Nederland als een droom, of een andere planeet, hahaha. Ik zie mijn videos en ik denk "wat is er gebeurd". Ik mis met Ronald spelen, zijn energie is geweldig, dus hier een kleine solo van zijn gig ☺️
Daqueles atrasado, kkkk, a gig foi há meses, mas é legal ver como foi, o que pode melhorar, o que funcionou, o que soou legal... Amo esse tema do Ronald, se chama "Kaseko Sisters" e mega recomendo o seu álbum "Penta" 😎🎵
Yesterday was Luiz Gonzaga's birthday, and therefore it was National Forró Day. Here is my humble hommage to this great composer. This video is from my personal series "meeting someone in a bar", so imagine Luiz Gonzaga meeting J. S. Bach in a bar 😆 Actually the theme is really good for a fugue. I am improvising, so some mistakes are inevitable, but at least the main ideas are there (like the stretto in the end). Have a great sunday!
Viva o Gonzagão, o rei do baião 🥳 Ontem foi aniversário dele, e eu forrozeira quero deixar uma humilde homenagem: uma fuga improvisada sobre o tema da Asa Branca. Embora eu toque sanfona e nos últimos anos toquei muuuuuito forró, eu estudei música antiga. Aliás a música clássica sempre esteve presente, juntamente com a brasileira. Então acabei usando um tema popular com roupa barroca nesse video, rs. É o Bach e o Luiz tomando uma cerveja juntos. Apelidei "Fuja da Asa Branca". Bom domingo!

This is my family. The 6 people who I grew up with. The familiar nucleous that not only shaped me, but helped me, inspired me, taught me some (sometimes hard) lessons, had arguments with me, had amazing conversations with me... In my first 25 years I was living with my parents and my brothers and sis, and I know that this period made me who I am now. And the funny thing is that MUSIC was the common passion. Or playing, or listening, or talking about it, or all together (haha), this particular art was in our hearts. It still is, actually. We were known as a "musical family", because almost everybody plays an instrument. I am the only professional musician, but I am the tip of the iceberg. My dad, for example, doesn't work with music but he plays piano every single day since I know him (he loves Chopin, and I know well this composer because of my dad). One of my brothers is a genious-composer (no exageration, he is really amazing), and a fantastic pianist (we both studied with a russian piano teacher, and travelled some cities to play in competitions - for example my first time in Rio was with him, I was around 19 years old, we played in a concours where we both lost, hahaha, but we got to see Ipanema for the first time together). All the stories of my family could be an amazing book 😉 who knows, maybe one day I'm gonna write about it...
I think at some point life reserved me a big surprise, which is moving to Holland, where I lived now for 15 years (yes, time can fly like a speed rocket, so don't waste it). Holland is far from my familiar nucleous in a phisycal way, but I always carried them in my heart. Only God knows how I missed them dearly (I inderstood more and more the word saudade). Since I moved abroad, every time back in Brazil felt like a dream, or another distant planet or reality. I confess every time I come back it's still hard to see how my brothers are older, with white hair or white beard (or maybe with extra weight, hahaha) and how my parents aged (they are now 68). But life goes one, right, and we can't stop time...
