The Robotic Building Team has been established in 2014 at Delft University of Technology's, Faculty of Architecture.
Robotic Building has been established in 2014 at Delft University of Technology, Faculty of Architecture, and has undertaken research in physically built robotic environments and robotically supported building processes, while educating master students. It researches physically built robotic environments and robotically supported building processes. Since 2016 the Robotic Building Studio has started educating Architecture master students on these topics

Abiogenetic Architecture - Notes toward design method
New projects by the Living Architecture Systems Group will be presented, providing detailed illustrations of prototypes and offering design methods that could be applied to contemporary design. These ‘living labs’ harness emerging technologies into a responsive, breathing, sentient architecture by combining detailed artificial fabric systems from fashion and heavy structures from architecture. Newly invented structural systems combine mechanics, sound, light, and filtering systems using artificial intelligence and synthetic biology. The work evolves through collaborative exchanges with an international network of scientists, engineers, and artists including Atelier van Herpen and Salvador Breed of [1] 4DSOUND in Amsterdam, University of Waterloo researchers, engineer lead Rob Gorbet, and the main Living Architecture Systems studio in Toronto.
Philip Beesley, FRAIC, RCA, OAA (1956, Canadian) is an architect and multidisciplinary artist. His next-generation intelligent environments are recognized for their innovative, nearly-living qualities. He leads Living Architecture Systems (LAS), an international research consortium at the University of Waterloo where he is a professor. He holds degrees in Visual Art and Architecture, apprenticed in instrument making, and represented Canada at the Venice Biennale for Architecture (2010). Philip Beesley Architects
