Our students are great! We won bronze during the NIBS Worldwide Case Competition in 2018! Alina Riecker, Lisa Schnelte, Patrik Kurilla and Max de la Croix: congratulations!

The NIBS Worldwide Case Competition—one of the oldest undergraduate case competitions in the world--is a test of problem-solving ability, business acumen, cultural insight, communication skills, and teamwork. 16 teams of four undergraduate students from different countries and continents compete on behalf of their respective universities. They receive written MBA level Harvard style case studies focused on international business issues, and have a limited time to assess the challenges facing the organization and recommend a specific course of action to panels of senior managers, policymakers and academics.

Dear students,

Currently ASIS is looking for students interested in becoming a 'Buddy' to international students during their stay in Breda for the next semester.

An event will be organised for these students on the introduction day the 26th of January, which offers you the opportunity to help out and make it the most amazing day for the new international students! Afterwards you remain a contact person for the students during the semester to help or guide them when needed.

Being a buddy is voluntary, meaning that there is no financial compensation for this particular event. Nevertheless, your contribution is very much appreciated!

As you might have seen or heard, Avans has again been proclaimed the best large University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. This was announced by the Keuzegids Hbo 2018 guide (HBO Options guide) published in September 2017. The ranking is based on the reponses of all of you in the National Student Survey (Nationale Studenten Enquete) in January 2017.

The Keuzegids 2018 ranks study programmes.
IBMS is ranked as the best IBMS programme at a public university. When including private universities, IBMS achieved a 7th position.
IFM is ranked together with Bedrijfseconomie (BE; the Dutch equivalent), because they have a joint CROHO number. IFM/BE is ranked 7th.

Voor het eerst in de geschiedenis zijn de OranjeLeeuwinnen Europees Kampioen geworden. In een zinderende finale werd Denemarken verslagen: 4-2
