Here’s a picture of me at .nl with my face visible, as that seems to work well algorithm-wise.
Maybe you have been wondering why I have been less active on this (a)social network thingy. That’s because I decided to shift my focus.
I found out that for me, less is more.
Therefore this year I will do less dj sets to focus on my new job as an ecologist and on giving nature and birding excursions during the weekends. Something that fits my natural circadian rhythm a lot better than playing tunes at night. (Hence is a daytime event concept 😉)
The coming months my focus is fully on ecological research and giving excursions, as from April to July is nature’s peak season.
No worries, I will still play a (vinyl) dj set now and then. I still love to share and play music, but at a lower frequency than I did last years.
Hope to meet you on the dancefloor soon!
Next week we take care of the music with my concept on 22 March during at .
Throwback to August 2025, when I did a vinyl only set at .eu. The largest vinyl warehouse I ever saw. Here are some snippets of my set. The entire srt can be found on Youtube, via the link in bio.
In 2026 I will keep practising to refine my vinyl spinning skills, and keep digging to show you surprising sounds I discover during this journey.

Last Sunday I organised my first event ever: , where I played a two-hour vinyl only set. And I loved every minute of it!
Keep an eye on my Mixcloud page (link in bio) for the recording.
Thanks to everyone who came by for a drink, chat or dance. Hope to see you next time too!

Last Sunday, I had the privilege of DJing for an hour at Den Bosch Danst. The audience could donate to Serious Request to come and dance on an illuminated dance floor. For this occassion I played a lot of well-known classics from the seveties, eighties and nineties. I thoroughly enjoyed the Den Bosch audience, their enthusiasm and the atmosphere. What an honour to have contributed to the enormous amount (more than €14 million) raised for .

About a month ago I visited Turf in Breda, my “I feel very at home” town. 😉
On Friday I visited a conference about experience vs affordability of festivals and events. Very useful and insightful since I am organising my own event () in February 2026.
I received many great tips from both the speakers and the audience, also during the networking drinks.
I ended the Friday with attending The Nightconference, where people coming from the four large cities in Noord-Brabant spoke about the status of nightlife and nightculture in their cities.
Saturday we hosted a FLINTA dj workshop with and . Why FLINTA? Well because there’s still a lack of diversity on line-ups and within the music scene. We had a full house and at the end everyone was able to mix two tracks. It was a very inspiring and fulfilling weekend. 💞
Last Friday I was invited by .dj to join her “How’s House?” show at .radio. First we had an interview and then I played a set. As the show name suggests, I kept my selection mostly house-related.
Recently I found a lot of jazzy and bruk influenced tracks that I played, along with percussive rhythms and afro-inspired sounds. Hope you enjoy. The entire show is available through Youtube, via the link in bio.

Finally I made some snippets of my latest show at . During the first hour I invited to talk about records that have influenced him as a dj. The second hour I played a set with balearic, boogie, funk, soulful and afro house.
The recording of my set will air on Youtube soon. For the entire audio recording, head over to my (or Birdcage’s) Soundcloud. Hope you enjoy my sunny track selection together with the last rays of sunshine for today. ☀️
