At Affidea, we believe that the way our managers lead shapes the way our teams feel, collaborate and perform. This is why, three years ago, we launched the Affidea Core Program: a dedicated learning journey designed to strengthen leadership from the inside out.

This week, we proudly completed the 3rd edition of the programme, bringing together 41 Affidea key leaders from across our countries for four months of learning, reflection and exchange. Throughout the programme, participants deepened their understanding of their own leadership style and worked on essential capabilities including strategic thinking, communication, delegation and team development, both individually and in groups.

Just as importantly, the programme created space for leaders from different countries to connect, share experiences and build a stronger network across Affidea, while spending time together in Madrid.

As Eduardo Blazquez Gomez, Chief HR Officer at Affidea Group, said: “The Core Leadership Program reflects our commitment to developing strong managers across Affidea markets. By investing in their , we are strengthening the way our teams work together, communicate and deliver on our shared ambitions.”

Thank you to all our managers for their commitment, openness and energy over the past months, and to our Corporate HR team for their continued dedication to people development across Affidea. We are already looking forward to the 4th edition. 👏

As medical becomes more powerful, adaptive and multimodal, the question is no longer whether it can transform healthcare, but how healthcare providers ensure it reaches patients safely, responsibly and at scale.

Dr Alessandro Roncacci, SVP Chief Medical Officer at Affidea Group, participated in the Conference, on the panel “Fast technology, slow systems: who pays the price?”, organised by United Imaging Healthcare and moderated by Fernando J. Erazo, Vice President, United Imaging Europe.

The discussion focused on one of the most important topics today: AI is evolving faster than the regulatory frameworks designed to govern it. As medical AI moves from narrow, point-solution algorithms towards adaptive, multimodal platforms capable of supporting multiple clinical indications, the challenge is no longer only how to approve AI, but how to implement it safely, responsibly and at scale.

As Alessandro Roncacci highlighted during the discussion: “Success in medical will not be measured by how many algorithms are approved, but by how many are safely embedded into clinical workflows and demonstrably improve , , and clinician experience. AI adoption is not only a technology project, it is a clinical transformation project. To bring its benefits to patients faster, we need governance, local validation, clinical ownership and continuous monitoring to evolve together. At Affidea, we believe the future of AI in healthcare depends on the ability to combine with responsibility. Regulatory approval is only the beginning. Real impact happens when AI is integrated into daily clinical practice, trusted by clinicians, understood by patients, and continuously monitored in real-world settings.”

With a network spanning multiple countries, modalities, equipment, workflows and patient populations, Affidea is committed to helping generate the real-world evidence needed to support safe, scalable and meaningful AI adoption across Europe.

Some contributions change the way we work, not just what we do.

This month, we are proud to recognise Paulė Sadauskaitė from Affidea Lietuva (Lithuania) as our Affidea European Employee of the Month for May 2026.

Working at our Kaunas clinic, Paulė has gone beyond her core role to make a real difference in how doctors join and experience our organisation. She has been actively involved in strengthening doctor onboarding, improving internal communication and helping build a stronger, more connected medical culture.

Her contribution is not just operational. It directly impacts how new doctors integrate, collaborate and deliver care, ultimately supporting both employee experience and quality standards.

What stands out is her initiative. From supporting internal doctor discussions to contributing to the development of onboarding practices, Paulė consistently looks for ways to make things work better - for colleagues, for teams and for the organisation as a whole.

The recognition was personally presented by our Group CHRO, Eduardo Blazquez Gomez, during a visit to Lithuania, together with leaders from across 14 countries, making this moment even more special.

Thank you, Paulė, for your energy, ownership and the impact you create every day. 💙
