Work on the new General Jabbah record has continued. Recording vocals with the Oktava ML17 and a pinch of compression from the 1176 and Joemeek SC2 is a dream.

One of the happiest sessions of the year!

Took the microphone collection to a green screen studio for a live session with Cavolo Nero!

Spent a very hot day recording drums with Gallamesh. Vintage MD441’s on toms deserve a special mention today. Two big booms.

Massive addition to Springtone compressor land: ADR COMPEX. Pure vintage magic on the drum bus, known especially as the compressor that helped shape Bonham’s drum sound on When The Levee Breaks by the mighty Zep.

Many thanks to Frank Hartog for bringing this one back to life - and installing those vintage Haufe output transformers for a little extra custom sauce.
