Cyber Domain is a project with the sole intention of connection, in terms of connecting artists all over the world with a common interest of electro.

The original intent behind Cyber Domain is to give artists a platform where they can upload their mixes and feel a sense of community. This has now progressed into a label with similar intentions, to connect artists. Our first VA was released with the purpose of bringing like-minded people together to connect and collaborate.

Using Google Earth, JR and his team looked at 35 jails in the state, before happening upon California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi, a supermax state prison two hours from Los Angeles. The prison’s roof doubled as a concrete yard, and it looked “very graphic”, says JR.

An unexpected call launched JR into his latest project, set in a Californian maximum-security prison Working with inmates and guards, the French photographer’s gargantuan mural made in Tehachapi prison is the centrepiece of his first UK retrospective, opening at the Saatchi next month

NOBU is a short film about former world champion karate and Japanese immigrant Nobuaki Konno. In this film his daughter and fashion designer Lisa Konno asks him about cultural differences while he wears a collection she made for him. The film combines aesthetics with humour and social engagement with optimism.
