Lloyd Festival: Migrating World 06/06/2016

On May 29th we organised the Lloyd Festival: Migrating World as part of our minor Cultural Entrepreneurship at the Reinwardt Academy. It was a great day which we enjoyed to the fullest. We want to thank everyone who attended, helped us out and most of all made this event better by being a part of it. We are utmost grateful. Thank you. All pictures are taken by the talented Kaptuur!

Just so you know: at 17:00 there is a special storytelling session called Share Your Story with Godfrey Lado and Anya Martirosjan. Godfrey, one of the main South Sudanese composers and poets of this time, fled to the Netherlands at the age of 19. Being a refugee of war clearly manifest in his poems and music where he brings his honest energy of a refugee's reality. Anya is from Azerbaijan and thinks that as a migrant stories should be told and heard, because they are full of extraordinary experiences with increased depth and nuances. After Godfrey and Anya have opened with their stories, the floor will open for the audience to informally share their stories and experiences as migrants and perhaps as travellers!
