Jesper Nordin wins Musikförläggarnas Prize 2025

We are proud to share that Jesper Nordin has been awarded the 2025 Musikförläggarnas Prize for Contemporary Music – Large Ensemble for his saxophone concerto Silhouettes and Shadows, written for Valentine Michaud and created in collaboration with visual artist Emmanuel Michaud.

The jury described the work as “a total artwork where the acoustic meets the digital – a visionary whole that blurs the boundaries between concert and art installation.”

This award celebrates Jesper’s ability to merge orchestral sound, live electronics, and visual art into a single immersive and transformative experience.

BMM is delighted to welcome Miroslav Srnka to its roster for general management.

Srnka had received several major commissions and awards, including the von Siemens Music Foundation Composer’s Prize in 2009.

His last major orchestral work Superorganisms, commissioned by the Berliner Philharmoniker and its principal conductor @ Petrenko was premiered last season at Symphony Orchestra Tokyo, currently has its premieres with Philharmonic and David Robertson and Orchestre de Paris with Mäkelä this season and is awaiting its US premiere with Los Angeles Philharmonic.

His works have been performed by renowned interpreters including the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, NHK Symphony Orchestra Tokyo, WDR Symphony Orchestra, the Czech Philharmonic, Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne, Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, Klangforum Wien, Ensemble Intercontemporain and Ensemble Modern, by conductors such as Peter Eötvös, Jakub Hrůša, or Susanna Mälkki at festivals like Lucerne Festival, Prague Spring, Ultraschall Berlin, Wien Modern, Présences Paris, Musica Strasbourg, Milano Musica, Printemps des Arts de Monte-Carlo and Ostrava New Music Days.

I am proud to announce that award winning composer and conductor David Philip Hefti has joined Blom Music Management for local management.

BMM is delighted to welcome Cecilia Damström - composer to its roster for general management.
Since graduating in 2014 Cecilia has constantly been working on commissions for various ensembles and festivals. Her compositions have received several national and international composition prizes 2009-2022. With the piece ICE commissioned by the European Green Capital Lahti 2021 she won the Teosto-Prize 2022. Her fairytale opera Dumma Kungen won the award for “Children opera of the year” in 2018. In 2019 she made her debut with the Finnish National Opera with her school opera Djurens planet. Her works for orchestra have been performed by the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra (2020), Colorado Springs Philharmonic (2020), Tapiola Sinfonietta (2022), Kymi Sinfonietta (2022), Lahti Symphony Orchestra (2021), Oulu Sinfonia (2021), Lohja City Orchestra (2021 & 2023), Joensuu City Orchestra (2021 & 2022), Kuopio City Orchestra (2019 & 2022), Jyväskylä Sinfonia (2016 & 2018), Gävle Symphony Orchestra (2018), Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra (2018) and Avanti! (2011) as well as at festivals such as Young Nordic Music Days in Aarhus (2016) and Tampering (2014, 2015 and 2017). Since 2019 she is signed with one of the biggest music publishers in the Nordic countries, Gehrmans Musikförlag.

Ryan Latimer is a British composer whose music has been described as “anarchic and cartoonishly fun” (BBC R3), “deliciously playful” (Classical Music Magazine) and “irresistible in its tongue-in-cheek irreverence” (ISCM). His work has been performed internationally by leading ensembles including the London Symphony Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, China National Symphony Orchestra, BBC Concert Orchestra, London Sinfonietta, Psappha and Britten Sinfonia.
