Hello everyone๐Ÿค—
It's good to have you all here.

It's been a really hetic time away from here but am back.
Out there, some many people have different health seeking behavior. Are you the type that goes to seek for help outside medical care? If you're one or you know someone that does that ,then this is for you.
I would share a little of my clinical experience.
So a child who happened to have fracture of the upper arm from the house was taken to a traditional bone setter(TDS). The TDS tied the hand in a polythene bag and used woods to immobilize the hand with maigain garigarjiya . He further asked parent of the child not to open the hand till it's 14 days. Now ,the ideal condition for a fracture treatment is immobilization, increased blood circulation to the affected area and adequate nutrition among others.
But in the case of this child, circulation to the area was hampered, those things the TDS put on the area increased risk for infection and the polythene bag covering the affected area has stop air from reaching the area.

After parents has met the TDS and noticed the child is not improving then, they decided to come to the hospital. The child's hand is gangrenous with offensive decaying smell. The child is scheduled for amputation. Imagine the kind of pain that child is going through.

Every single day I see this child, the child is not smiling, unhappy probably depressed.
Then It got me wondering, why would parents be that ignorant? This child can possibly be managed in the hospital and all this complications would have been avoided.
Please you who's reading this piece should help tell others about the dangers of what some traditional practice could cost us or people around us. If you're sick ,the ideal thing is to go to the hospital .
Imagine that little innocent child growing to discover he has just an arm.

Please always seek for medical attention before the condition gets out of hand .

Hello everyone ๐Ÿ‘‹

From psychosexual theory by Sigmund Freud, there are personality working in an individual.

๐Ÿ“ŒId- it is the instinctive part of an individual. It controlled by pleasure principle and will.
Id seeks instant gratification of basic physical needs and urges. It's present at birth.

๐Ÿ“Œ Superego- it is regarded as the conscience part of the mind that helps children, adolescent and adult to develop moral code and ideal behavior. It operates entirely consciously.

๐Ÿ“ŒEgo- It is the pragmatic part of our personality. it develops as the individual grows. Ego helps an individual to compromise between internal urge(Id) and parental/societal values. Ego develops through interaction with the environment. It is partly conscious and unconscious .The ego balances the demand between id and superego.

So for every individual this three personality are present, although one or two are more expressed/pronounced than the other.

Which of the personality do you have more?

Breech Presentation

It occurs when the baby is positioned head - up in the woman's womb and the feet are pointed towards thehe birth canal( cervix).

A normal presentation is that of a cephalic presentation where the baby is lying in the womb in a head down position.

Some causes of breech presentation include multiple pregnancy, past history of preterm birth, too much or too little amniotic fluid, complications such as fibroid or placenta previa.

Usually, once your health provider notices this presentation. They try to invert the baby back to cephalic presentation to see if a normal vaginal delivery would be possible. In some cases, where the baby still remains in breech position the birth options are ceaserean section or Vaginal breech delivery.

There are three forms of breech presentation; complete, incomplete and frank breech.

โฃ๏ธThe Uterus โฃ๏ธ

๐Ÿ“ŒThe uterus is also called the womb. The uterus is an incredible muscular organ. It sheds it's layer monthly to give out menstruation.
๐Ÿ“ŒThe average uterus measures 3 to 4 inches but during pregnancy,it increases 1000 times to accommodate the growing fetus.
๐Ÿ“Œ During menstruation the uterus becomes enlarged and more vascularized.
After parturition, the uterus returns to it's original size pre - pregnancy six weeks after postpartum.
๐Ÿ“ŒIn old age,the uterus atrophies, looks paler and denser in texture.
๐Ÿ“ŒThe uterus houses the baby, placenta and amniotic fluid during pregnancy.
๐Ÿ“Œ Most women have only one uterus, two fallopian tube, two ovaries and one cervix(the passage for which a baby comes out during labor/delivery). However, some women have two cervixes, some have two uteruses while some are born with no uterus at all.
๐Ÿ“ŒWith the advancement in science, uterine transplants are now possible for women who don't have a uterus to help them conceive a baby. Isn't science amazing?
๐Ÿ“ŒThe average amount of periods a woman will have is 470 which amounts to around 10000 period products. Around many developing countries, disposable pads is what is in use and the price is on the high side. Although there are choice for reusable products from pants, cloth pads and menstrual cup. In making your choice, the need for comfort and absorbency is highly important . If you're going for pads or cloth pads for the ones with really good breathability.

Hello Allโ™ฅ๏ธ๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿค—โ˜บ๏ธ

So happy about what am about to share here๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿ’ƒ.
For most Nigerians, you must have heard of Banky W and his wife Adesuwa and how so many people have passed all sorts of side comments regarding their delayed baby but finally today. Mrs Wellington opened up about their baby boy.
Momsgraph business in this story here is delayed pregnancy/childbirth could be caused by either;
โœจThe age of the woman that's fertility in some women starts dropping when they're in their mid to late 30s or older than that.
โœจ Another reason could be low s***m count in the part from the hand of the man.
โœจ Polycystic o***y syndrome- it's one common cause of secondary infertility.
โœจ Overweight
โœจ Lifestyle- excessive drinking of alcohol and smoking could delay pregnancy.

Overall patience is key ,like this beautiful couple even when there was pressure from the media about the delayed arrival of their baby they still fought through it and today they now have a son.

PS:Delayed Pregnancy could also be that the couple want to pause kids.

This story could be for someone in this platform or someone you know. Don't give up the game. Keep trying and be patient.

Don't wait too long to get

Uterine fibroids and Pregnancy

Hello dear readers
Welcome to a brand new day and week with momsgraph.

First, uterine fibroids are abnormal growth in or on the uterus. It's a non-cancerous growth. Uterine fibroid is also known as myoma or leiomyoma.
Uterine fibroids aren't associated with increased risk of uterine cancer. When fibroid gets bulky in mass ,it occupies the space where a baby should stay in the uterus . Fibroid affects women in child bearing age and it does not cause any visible sign and symptoms at an early stage.

Fibroid usually don't interfere with getting pregnant, however it's possible that fibroid could cause infertility or pregnancy loss. Fibroid increases the risk of certain pregnancy complications such as placental abruptio, fetal growth restriction and preterm delivery.
Fibroids are of different types based on it's location in or on the uterus. Intramural fibroid found on the uterine wall, subserosal found outside the uterus, submucosal is found underneath the uterine lining and the peduculated.

Risk factors that influence the formation of fibroids.
1. Heredity
2. Race ( it's more common in black young women)
3. Pregnancy ( due to increase production of estrogen and progesterone)
4. High body weight
5. Age ( 30 or older)

Signs and Symptoms
1.Heavy menstrual bleeding and blood clots.
2. Enlargement of the abdomen.
3. Pressure in your lower abdomen.
4. Pain during in*******se.
5. Pain in the pelvis or lower back
