A CALL TO UNITY FOR THE PROGRESS OF BAYELSA EAST.
The primaries are now behind us, and the time has come to look ahead to the greater task before-us the future of Bayelsa East Senatorial District.
Democracy has taken its course, and Rt. Hon. Israel Sunny-Goli has emerged as a candidate of the APC to represent the aspirations of our people. At this critical moment, we must rise above political differences, personal interests, and divisive sentiments, and focus on what truly matters: the growth, development, and prosperity of Bayelsa East.
This is a call to all sons and daughters of Bayelsa East-regardless of political affiliation, community, age, or background to embrace a common vision for our district. Elections come and go, but the need for quality representation, purposeful leadership, and sustainable development remains constant.

GOVERNMENT SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!
SANITATION EXERCISE FOR MAY 2026
The monthly environmental sanitation exercise will hold on Saturday, 30th May, 2026, from 7:00am to 10:00am.
Residents are required to clean their surroundings, clear drains, cut grasses, and dispose of waste properly at designated dump sites.
Movement will be restricted during this period. Loitering, playing football, and bicycle riding during the Sanitation hour is prohibited.
Essential workers must obtain clearance from the Environmental Sanitation Authority.
Let’s work together to keep Bayelsa clean and green.

TINUBU SECURES LANDSLIDE AFFIRMATION IN BRASS LGA AS APC STAKEHOLDERS RALLY IN TWON BRASS
TWON BRASS — All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders and party faithful from across Brass Local Government Area converged at the LGA Collation Centre in Twon Brass over the weekend, delivering a resounding mandate for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the party’s presidential primary.
The high-powered delegation was led by Rt. Hon. Israel Sunny-Goli, the APC Senatorial Flag Bearer for Bayelsa East. Other prominent party leaders in attendance included Hon. Daniel Charles, Hon. Timi Agala Omubo, Hon. Broderick Preye, Hon. Esau Andrew, and the APC LGA Chairman, Hon. Bara Daniel.
Demonstrating a unified front, stakeholders and delegates unanimously affirmed their support for the President's leadership, validating the administration’s economic reforms and national vision.
Following the formal collation of ward results, election officials declared that President Tinubu secured 90.5% of the total votes cast across Brass LGA. Wild celebrations from party stakeholders and members heralded the President’s declaratory victory, transforming the collation venue into a festival of song, dance, and solidarity banners.
Party leaders described the overwhelming victory as a clear indication of the President's deep-rooted support base in the coastal communities of Bayelsa State and a sign of the party's readiness for the general election.

Hon. Israel Sunny-Goli Pledges Inclusive Leadership After Winning APC Primary in Bayelsa East
Yenagoa– Hon. Israel Sunny-Goli has vowed to run an inclusive, service-driven administration following his emergence as the All Progressives Congress candidate for Bayelsa East Senatorial District.
Speaking after the primary election, Sunny-Goli expressed gratitude to God for the victory. He also thanked the Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri for creating an environment that fostered a peaceful, free, and fair process.
He commended party members and stakeholders of the APC in Bayelsa East for entrusting him with the party’s ticket. He described the mandate as a call to service and responsibility.
“Your confidence in me will not be misplaced,” Sunny-Goli said. He pledged a representation that is participatory and a commitment to the growth, unity, and progress of the district.
He called on all party stakeholders, including fellow aspirants, to work with him in advancing the district’s shared aspirations, extending a hand of partnership to strengthen unity within the party.
