I’m not explaining why branding matters

Today, I’m simply showing my designs

I tried to write a “proper” post today and nothing was coming. Like, nothing at all

I just kept staring at the screen

Then I remembered those TikTok videos where people sit in front of a cake and start listing the wins they’ve had this year…. even the really small ones

And just saying it out loud helps them realise that a lot actually happened

That really stuck with me

This wasn’t supposed to be a gratitude post, but it made me stop and think

• I’m grateful that I showed up this year (honestly)

• Grateful for the help I get randomly even when I don’t ask for it

• Grateful for how far I’ve come & the achievements alongside

• Grateful for the incredible people I’ve met

• Grateful for my family & friends (biggest support systems I have)

• Grateful for YOU (my community people) that carries me even when I don’t talk about how hard things get

Just… grateful, honestly

See ehn, the money I’ve spent on data this year alone I can use it to buy a land sef 😂😭(So me sef no small)

If you’ve been quietly trying your best this year, I see you
You’re doing better than you think 🤍

PS: Maybe take a pause and count those things you’re grateful for…. You’ll realize you’ve achieved a lot

Yayyyyyy!!! I finally got the phone I’ve been praying for

I’m not sharing this not because I suddenly “blew”
Not because I’m now made…
But because something shifted this year:

I started showing up

And honestly, it reminded me of something simple:

I’ve had the skill for a while now

But in few months, things really changed when I started showing up intentionally,
positioning myself properly,
and actually putting my work out there consistently

That’s what made this possible…. not “blowing,” not luck

Just visibility + consistency

This phone is not just a gadget

I don’t know who lied to me that this design would be “a quick one” 😭

So the job came through a Nigerian intermediary, but the audience was international

Nothing too deep… or so I thought

I looked at the brief and confidently told myself,
“Ah, this is easy, I can do this n fast too”
Well…big mistake 😂

The moment I started, everything I planned in my head scattered
The copy was dependent on the image
The images had to match their audience, not mine

And every time I thought, “okay, this is it,”
the design decided to change direction again.

That was when I was quietly reminded again….

✅Design is your brand’s silent communicator and it needs to speak the right language at all times

But honestly, I loved the process
It stretched me a bit, and it made me slow down and actually think through the work, not just rush it

Be honest…. has a “simple” job ever turned to something else entirely?

Happy new month 💙

The air is already smelling like Christmas….. harmattan, lights, and soft pressure everywhere 😂

Last week, I saw a tweet that said:

“Started the year with iPhone 12… ended the year with iPhone 17 air 😂

As howwwwwww, please don’t pressure me ooo

It made me laugh, but it also reminded me:
Not every year ends with a big upgrade and that’s okay…. Instead it prepares me better for 2026

Today is December 1st, not December 31st

There’s still time to finish the year intentionally, not anxiously

PS: December isn’t for pressure. It’s for perspective💙
