When you meet people, whether online or offline, don’t assume they’re doing better than you. Don’t allow jealousy or comparison to steal your joy. And don’t feel entitled to their pockets or expect them to carry your responsibilities.
The truth is, many people you admire are simply sweet souls doing their best. A lot of folks are going through battles you will never see. Many are fighting silent demons every single day, yet they still find the strength to smile, stand tall, and show up.
Even me, if you see me outside, you might think I have everything figured out. But I have my own struggles, my own fights, and my own heavy days. I just choose not to wear my battles on my face.
So let this encourage you: you are doing well. In fact, you are doing better than you think… and better than many of us who look like we have it all together.
Keep going.
Keep growing.
Keep your heart clean and your mind focused.
Your journey is valid, your progress is real, and your story is still unfolding beautifully.
STAY BLESSED.

Life is never a straight line. It twists, it bends, and sometimes it throws you into chapters you never prepared for. Many times, the path you imagined and the one life gives you look nothing alike. Life will shake you, test you, stretch you, and hand you pages you didn’t even audition for.
But if you truly want to rise, win, and succeed, you must keep an open heart and open arms. Embrace each day as a fresh opportunity. Welcome every challenge as a chance to grow. Stay true to who you are. Hold on to your vision. And whatever happens, don’t give up.
Just keep connecting the dots. The picture will make sense with time.
I remain grateful for every step of this journey, and I will keep pushing, keep showing up, and keep becoming the best version of myself.
I am your zaddy.

If someone takes a picture of you with your phone, they can prevent you from using the picture, except under permitted circumstances and it doesn’t matter whether it’s your phone or you are the one in the picture.
This is because picture belongs to the photographer not the person in the picture.

Sometimes you may tick all the necessary boxes, but still need life favour on your side for things to finally work.
Towards the end of 2009, Platform Petroleum and Shebah Petroleum had their sights on three OMLs owned by Shell, which were up for sale.
The two indigenous oil companies, managed by Austin Avuru and A.B.C. Orjiako, were introduced to each other by a third party, Alhaji Nasir Ado Bayero
Shebah and Platform formed a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) for the transaction with Shell, which is what we now know as Seplat.
In their search for a financial partner, BNP Paribas introduced Seplat to Maurel et Prom (M&P), a French independent oil company. M&P had recently sold an asset in Congo and was flush with liquidity. The three entities teamed up, and Seplat was fully formed. They successfully raised the necessary funding and closed the deal with Shell.
However, they still required approval from the Federal Government, and this is where luck came into play.
Dr. Rilwan Lukman was the Minister of Petroleum at the time, and the late Mohammed Barkindo was the GMD of NNPC. Seplat needed approval at three critical levels: the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), and the Minister of Petroleum.
The DPR Director advised the President against approving the transaction, arguing that some of the fields in the oil blocks acquired by Seplat were earmarked for other purposes by the Federal Government.
It later became clear that certain powerful individuals opposed the transaction because they had their own interests in the oil fields Seplat was attempting to acquire. Despite multiple discussions, negotiations, and pleas, these individuals refused to relent.
Fortunately for Seplat, the NNPC was more supportive of the transaction. Barkindo liked the idea but would only approve it if a position paper was presented to the NNPC Executive Committee for consideration.
Meanwhile, some individuals responsible for submitting the proposal to the committee attempted to undermine Seplat by using confidential information provided by Seplat to acquire the Shell assets for themselves.
The meeting with the Minister of Petroleum did not go any better. Dr. Lukman flatly rejected the transaction, suggesting instead that Seplat should pursue a farm-out model rather than outright acquisition of the Shell assets. The combined resistance from the DPR and NNPC reports appeared to have dealt a fatal blow to the transaction.
Then came a stroke of luck.
In February 2010, under the 'doctrine of necessity,' the Nigerian Senate passed a resolution confirming Goodluck Jonathan (GEJ) as Acting President.
By March 2010, in a bid to assert his authority over a divided administration, GEJ dissolved the Yar’Adua cabinet. Dr. Lukman, one of the most influential Northern ministers who had largely ignored GEJ’s authority, was removed from office.
In April 2010, Lukman was replaced by Diezani Alison-Madueke, and as fate would have it, she and Orjiako were close associates. One of her first actions was to replace the GMD of NNPC, and the DPR Director was promoted and redeployed to NNPC as an Executive Director.
The three key players in the transaction approval process had all been replaced. In fact, Orjiako was one of Alison-Madueke's closest confidants, especially for key decisions and appointments in the petroleum sector. With this shift in power, Seplat received the green light.
Few people could have predicted Yar’Adua’s protracted illness or the changes in the cabinet that followed. Seplat had a strong team, solid plans, funding, and other arrangements in place.
But without the unexpected change in the Federal cabinet, all these efforts might have been in vain, and Seplat might not exist today.
One wonders how many other businesses, without such luck, have been buried under similar circumstances.
what can i say ?
