The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) remains the crucial entry point for Nigerian students seeking admission into universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education. As the 2026 exam cycle approaches, here’s a comprehensive guide to the current format and structure of the exam, and what candidates should expect.

🔹 𝐄𝐱𝐚𝐦 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬
✼ The UTME is strictly a Computer-Based Test (CBT), conducted in accredited centers nationwide.
✼ Each candidate is required to sit for four subjects:
• Use of English (compulsory for all), plus
• Three other subjects relevant to the candidate’s chosen course of study.
✼ An on-screen calculator is provided for subjects requiring calculations.

🔹 𝐍𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠
✼ The exams consists of a total of 180 questions.
• Subject - Number of Questions
1️⃣ Use of English - 60
2️⃣ Subject 2 - 40
3️⃣ Subject 3 - 40
4️⃣ Subject 4 - 40
• All questions are multiple-choice with four options (A–D).
✼ Each subject carries a maximum of 100 marks, totaling 400 for all four subjects.

🔹 𝐃𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐱𝐚𝐦
✼ The total exam duration is 2 hours (120 minutes), giving candidates about 40 seconds per question.

🔹 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐅𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬
✼ Biometric verification is mandatory for entry into the exam hall to ensure security and candidate authenticity.
✼ Candidates must use a computer mouse and keyboard (A, B, C, D for answers; R, N, P, S for navigation).
✼ No mobile phones or electronic devices are allowed in the examination hall.
✼ Candidates must print their exam slips ahead of time to confirm their date, time, and venue.

This is to inform the general public especially prospective students of the Enugu State College of Nursing Sciences; Parklane and Again Campus that the school management has released the admission form for General Nursing (ND) Programme for the 2025/2026 Academic Session.

𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐑𝐘 𝐑𝐄𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐒:
• SSCE, WAEC, NECO or it's equivalent with at least five (5) O'Level Credits in not more than two (2) sittings in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
• 2025 JAMB UTME Score of 150 above.

Sales of admission forms starts on Monday, 26th May, 2025.
Application forms cost; Twenty Thousand Naira (N20,000.00).

Pay Directly to Enugu State Government IGR (Enugu State College of Nursing Sciences) Sales of admission forms. Pay at any commercial bank
• After payment, go to Enugu State College of Nursing Sciences, Parklane with photocopies of printout to obtain the admission form.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that results for candidates who were rescheduled to retake the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will be released on 𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟏, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓.

The rescheduled exams, conducted between Friday, April 16 and Monday, April 19, 2025, was organized for candidates who encountered technical issues during their original exam dates.

All affected candidates will be able to access and check their results starting from the release date.
