‎Angela stayed quiet every time Daniel raised his voice because she knew the kind of home he came from. However one evening, after another painful argument ended with the same excuse : “This is how I was raised” ,she told him, "David i love you and I believe the best of you, but I am tired of this unhealthy cycle , it is hurting the love we share.So whilst I understand your past and how it impacted you growing up, I think it's time to be a better person for you, for us.

Compassion made Angela listen, yet wisdom reminded her that healing requires responsibility too.

"A wife constantly fears her partner will leave, even though there’s no clear reason. She experienced abandonment as a child. How do early attachment experiences affect trust and security in marriage"

Tola's father left when she was 7 years old, one day he was there promising to take her to school and the next thing ,he was gone.
She waited at the door but , daddy never showed up.

This broke her mum, who had to raise her and her 2 siblings by her self, days turned in to months and years, Tola never stopped expecting the return of her father.

When she got married, little things will trigger her fear of been abandoned, like one time when her husband came home very late and his phone wasn't connecting, she was so scared she thought he had left her until he explained that it was traffic.

Her husband was troubled about her reaction, though he apologized and reassured her, he still couldn't fathom why she felt that way, until she explained her childhood experience about her dad leaving.
