diaries of a city boy - chapter 25: the government’s son for 1 year

this one for the ones who’ve been listening to my music for years.
now i can’t know who loves me fr or who’s just keeping up with appearances. i can’t know who really wants my progress and neither can i be certain of another person’s intentions towards me but if there’s one thing i can do, it is to make music and speak my mind without fear.
these numbers may not be much compared to other artistes but they represent what 2022 meant for me. they represent the efforts and energy other human beings took to listen to my art.
i love music, i love rapping, i love my journey.
everyone who’s been watching knows i have not had the easiest road doing this, neither have i really had the sort of big break i would like to have to push my music the way i want to but i just want to say i appreciate everyone, every single soul who has had my time for 7 years and who had my time in 2022.
i pray for more wins and more success for myself and to everyone who supports me from their heart. one day it’ll all make sense.

11 years ago today, you passed on to meet your maker. no goodbyes, no trust-funds, no plans for us if you were to go so early.
your children are superstars now dad, we’ve grown, we’ve accomplished a lot and i wish i could tell you all about it but i guess that’s for when we meet again. i love you sir. all your children do. you were the best dad we could have asked for. now we gotta be adults without you bro. it ain’t fair but such is life.
