About Us
The Rivers State Branch of the African Women Lawyers Association (AWLA) Nigeria, better known as AWLA Rivers, is a non-profit, non-sectarian, non-governmental and professional organisation for African Women Lawyers practicing law in Rivers State, Nigeria. AWLA Nigeria is an affiliate of AWLA Africa which was founded in Kenya in the year 1998. The Rivers State branch was inaugurated in August 2016 and has been active in Rivers state since then.
