What really is Biblical covenant?
Covenants are contracts or agreement between two or more people. They can either be verbal or symbolic.

Purpose of covenants
1. God wants to have a dealing with mankind. Hebrews 13:20📖
2. God intends to communicate with us through covenants.
3. It is by covenant that we are guaranteed eternal life.

God's Covenants with men of old
Jeremiah 31:33📖

*The Adamic covenant*
This refers to the covenants God made with Adam. The first covenant with Adam was made in the garden of Eden when God gave Adam responsibility of the garden. The second was the cursed pronounced against mankind after the fall of Adam.

*The Noahic covenant*
This refers to God's covenant with Noah. This covenant was made following the departure of Noah and his family from the ark. The token of this covenant was the rainbow.

*The Abrahamic covenant*
This is the covenant God has with Abraham. He personally promised He would make his name great and through him, he'd have multiple descendants and would be the father of many nations.

*The Palestinian covenant*
This is a covenant of discipline made between God and Israel. He promised to scatter them if they disobey Him and gather them back and restore if they choose to obey Him. One of the longest captivity was the Babylonian captivity.

*Davidic covenant*
This is God's covenant with David. How God promised to bless the family line of David and assured Him an everlasting Kingdom. Our Lord Jesus is from the line of David.

*Mosaic covenant*
The covenant with Moses was a conditional covenant. Blessings for obedience and curses for disobedience.

*The New covenant*
This covenant found in Jeremiah 31:31-34 promises God would forgive sin and have a close relationship with His people. Under this covenant, Jesus died in place of sinners and His blood is available as a token of covenant. This covenant offers a new way to forgiveness. This covenant is obtained by faith.

Faith is the act of declaring and decreeing. Faith is the pillar of salvation. Ephesians 2:8

Stages of Faith
1. The first stage is the faith that secures our salvation.
2. The second stage is the practical art and science of believing that enables one to hold on to God.
3. The third stage is faith as the lifestyle of a believer. It is when faith becomes a daily lifestyle that cannot be stopped.

What is self-cleansing? 🧼
Self-cleansing is a conscious and decisive effort put in by man to purge himself of all filthiness. *2 Cor 7:1📖*

It involves thorough sanitation of a life whose filth has been revealed through the mirror of God's word.🧹 *Isaiah 6:5📖*

It is a renewal of one's mind.💭 *Rom 12:2📖*
It is putting away evil deeds, the wickedness of the heart and impure thoughts. *Jer 4:14📖*

It is giving no room for sin in one's life. It is putting off the old man with his deeds and putting on the new man in all righteousness after the image of Christ. *Eph 4:24📖*

*God's desire is that His people will be clean outwardly and inwardly. Self-cleansing makes us honorable and useful vessels to appear before God blameless and to obtain answered prayers* 🙏🏼

How Can A Man Cleanse Himself?
Psalms 119:9
Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way?!

The Bible also provides the answer, "...by taking heed thereto according to thy (God's) word."
1. Identify the grey areas in your life!
2. Take heed and make necessary adjustments and make changes to show that you fear God.
3. Lay aside weights and besetting sins.
4. Steer clear of the appearances of evil.
5. Wash thoroughly in the water of God's word.
6. Mortify (kill) the deeds of the flesh with the help of Holy Spirit and draw near to God. *James 4:8📖*

To maximize means to expand or to make as large as possible.

Keys to Maximizing one's Life 🗝️

📌*In order to maximize your life, you need to minimize your load.* What does this mean? Negative habits, patterns, behaviors and decisions are loads that hinder a man from maximizing his life.

📌Determine what is worthy of one's attention. Know what to respond to and what to ignore.

📌 Trim your excesses. Know how to cut yourself off from things that are not working for you.

The Holy Spirit can be Blasphemed Against
Matthew 12:22-37
In rejection of the finished work of Christ, the sinner is counting it as a common thing or something without value. This is blasphemy.

The Holy Spirit can be Vexed
The Holy Spirit _can_ be vexed. Sometimes, the Holy Spirit reveals are weaknesses. But instead of taking the necessary corrections, some remain hardened in their own mistakes. The root of vexation is rebellion. Isaiah 63:9-10.📖

The Holy Spirit can be Resisted
Often the Spirit quickens the conscience to do right. But when we resist and ignore His prodding and nudging, it shows unbelief. Hebrews 3:19📖

The Holy Spirit can be Tempted
Analysing the case of Ananias and Saphira, in seeking to deceive their brethren, tempted the Holy Spirit of God. Acts 5:9📖

The Holy Spirit can be Quenched
To quench means to stifle, to put out, or to silence. 1 Thessalonians 5:19-20📖 Let us be careful of criticizing testimonies or sermons of preachers, lest you be guilty of quenching the Spirit of God.

The Holy Spirit can be Grieved
The Holy Spirit trusts us to resist sin and follow the Lord, if we do not , it grieves Him. Ephesians 4:30📖

INTRODUCTION: To be thankful literarily means to be full of thanks or appreciation. It is an expression of gratitude to someone.🪘 Thankfulness in this context is an act of thanksgiving or a show of gratitude to God. Though some people are ungrateful for various reasons, we must not be ingrates because of its attendant dangers.

REASONS AND BENEFITS OF THANKSGIVING
🪇 Thanksgiving is a command. 1 Chron 16:8📖
🪇The request of a believer should start and end with thanksgiving. Phil 4:6
🪇It is important to thank God for His mercies and divine provisions. Psalms 68:19
🪇Thanksgiving is offered to God for His miracles and restoration of hope (1 Samuel 2:1-5; Psalm 126:1-2).
🪇The primary reason God created us in His image is for fellowship, thanksgiving, praise and a joyful heart (Isaiah 43:21).

If you will cultivate the habit of showing gratitude to God, you will compel overflowing blessings from Him. These blessings include: answered prayers (John 11:41-44); abundant provision (Mark 8:6-8); deliverance from bo***ge (Acts 16:25-26).

Thankful people are peaceful and joyful (Philippians 4:6-7). They enjoy divine presence (Psalm 22:3; 95:2), complete restoration, wholeness (Luke 17:16-19) and victory without a fight (2 Chronicles 20:21-23).

DANGERS OF INGRATITUDE😑
Ingratitude is the result of vain imagination and a darkened heart. Sometimes your thanksgiving is senseless to the ordinary person but it is more profitable to be thankful than to complain (Romans 1:12: Proverbs 15:8).

There are several reasons people are ungrateful to God. Sin or spiritual blindness (Ephesians 4:17-18). Refusal to take account of what God has done (Romans 1:21). Pride (Acts 12:21-23)

Every act of ingratitude comes with its attendant danger. Risk of losing the existing blessing, salvation and Heaven (Matthew 25:24-25, 30). Limiting one's blessings or answered prayers (Luke 17:12-16, 19). It could result in emptiness and sorrow (Proverbs 15:13; 17:22) thereby, making restoration practically difficult.

CONCLUSION: Showing gratitude to God ensures continuous divine presence and fellowship.🫂

1. The whole life of a man so that man finds it difficult to excel.
2. The marriage of a man, hence there's no peace in that home.
3. The vision of a man.
4. The business of a man, hence business stagnation.
5. The body and health of a man, with sickness.
6. The ministry of a man.
The goal of this wicked rod is to promote scarcity of blessings, to direct a man amiss, promote frustration, laziness and hardship.

But brethren, the rod of the wicked shall never prosper against the lot of the righteous in Jesus name!

Pray Aggressively! 🗣️🔥
1. My Father, give the enemies of my progress a knock of death in Jesus name!
2. O rod of the wicked laid upon me and my family, receive the fire of God and burn to ashes in Jesus name!
3. Psalms 68:1,2. Evil traps set against me by agents of wickedness, catch your owners in Jesus name!
4. (Place your hands on your head) My head reject the influence of the rod of the wicked in Jesus name!

To be preemptive is to take an action against something possible, anticipated, or feared. You need to develop the capacity to see things in the spirit long before they manifest in the physical.

With the eyes of an eagle, Joseph was able to foresee the 7 years of famine in Egypt before it came, so he prepared adequately for it (Gen. 41). An eagle does not only see things from afar, its eyes are able to analyse the various colours of what it sees.

That means it is one thing for you to see a revelation, and it is another thing for you to know the interpretation of the revelation. Don't stop praying even in harvest when your blessings overflow. You must become an addicted prayer conqueror.

Pray consciously and subconsciously. It is the desire of the enemy to enter into your future before you arrive there in order to sow tares therein. Hence, you must stop the devil before he stops you.

All the children of destiny ever born had a great battle to fight especially at the beginning of their lives because the devil can perceive something about their star in the spirit.

Dr. Pastor Paul Enenche was a glorious future sickly child when he was born. Late Archbishop Benson ldahosa was left alone to die on a hill when he was born because he was always sick. Hence, parents must guard the destinies of their children prayerfully in all wisdom.

Students, you don't need to graduate before you start praying concerning a job or life partner. Start praying concerning your future now by destroying every satanic garrison, satanic pitfalls and demonic hurdles on your way to accelerated progress.

This is a mystery of preemptive prayers. Pray more in the Spirit.🗣️🔥 Covet the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. That is one sure way to pray preemptive prayer Enter your future prepared!
